I was saddened to read about the death of Jesse Jane. I always felt she was under-utilized in the superheroine genre. More to the point, back in 2013 I had relocated to Los Angeles and I had been trying to set up a double-whammy of a feature, Jesse Jane and Riley Steele as a Supergirl/Powergirl duo.
My assistant and I had lunch with their agent, (A total L.A. power move) and hammered out the details. We just could never get a schedule that would work as they were in such demand.
This was back when all the major porn studios were going full tilt and even though I was paying A-list rates, there were better offers with more established producers so my project kept getting pushed to the back burner.
I always felt she had a great spirit and the acting chops to portray a strong and spunky superheroine.
Anyway, drugs are bad. RIP.
