Looking back, one of my first childhood memories of being turned on by heroine peril was the sight of Supergirl slowly weakened by kryptonite. It’s still one of the major attractions of the genre to me - a beautiful, powerful heroine growing weaker and weaker, being unable to fight back and losing the strength to come back.

What’s the best kryptonite weakening scene out there? Be interesting to get some opinions!

The classic one is Brainiac capturing SG in a kryptonite cage.

I can't speak for the comic book world. In live action alas the movie Supergirl (1984) was without Kryptonite and magic served as the main source of peril together with the Phantom Zone.

From Smallville (something I've not seen much of) I recall there was someone mentioning a particularly dark kyrptonite peril where some government agent (Carter?) tried injecting Kara Zor-El with it - a quick search points to SE07 EP06 - not sure how it plays out though.

The Supergirl show had a fair few instances of Kryptonite peril for Supergirl but for the greater part there was nothing there which mirrored the scene between Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor and Christoper Reeves' Superman. Supergirl mostly got hurt by the stuff or shot with beams likened to K but from memory there was no gloating moment for a villain as they gently escorted the de-powered heroine towards her doom. I dare say one of the more exciting Kytponite takedown attempts was reserved for Reign, not quite the same thing as taking Supergirl down herself, and more unsatisfying was it didn't work.

For more info there is this useful link that references all the appearances of Kryptonite in the Supergirl show (scroll through the drop box in the Supergirl sectio) https://arrow.fandom.com/wiki/Kryptonite#Supergirl

The recent Flash movie with Sasha Calle as Supergirl apparently had the character initially in a captive sort of situation but I don't know how that happened (not seen it yet) - and I don't know if she experience any K peril later on.

Beyond all these I guess you start to enter the adult/parody area of the scene and I am sure plenty of other people have their opinions about that.

This is all the stuff I've done here but don't tell anyone about this!

Our best-selling custom by far is Custom 4 - "Mind Over Muscle: Pagliaccia vs Poderosa".
As the title indicates, it's a version of the "mind over muscle" scene in Superman where Lex tricks Superman into opening a box with kryptonite in it, and then Lex places the kryptonite on a chain necklace around Superman's neck.

In our regular canon universe, Poderosa (who is Power Girl + Lois Lane, but Puerto Rican) doesn't have a weakness to Kryptonite since we have no planet Krypton. Instead, her weakness is the bottom of the soles of her feet, since it is the most sensitive area of her body which isn't the crotch (allowing us to keep the torture PG-13). We show this in Episode 19. And also in our canon universe, the mineral Drainium causes her muscles to freeze up, turning her temporarily into a statue (Episode 21).

But in Custom 4, which was ordered by our longtime fan Vulpor, our "Elseworlds" version of Poderosa is vulnerable to the substance called "Drainium", which drains her powers like kryptonite but doesn't kill her. As with the "mind over muscle" scene in Superman, our villainess Pagliaccia the Clown Princess of Fear tricks Poderosa into pulling a necklace of Drainium out of a metal box. Poderosa is weakened by the Drainium, and Pagliaccia places the necklace around the superheroine's neck. She becomes too weak to remove it, and suffers humiliation as Pagliaccia pummels her with blow after blow. (see photo below) Poderosa drops to the floor, dazed and incoherent.

But Pagliaccia isn't finished with her destruction of Poderosa:
-She removes Poderosa's cape, taunting her with ridicule: "You will never fly again!"
-She slowly and dramatically unzips Poderosa's shiny red boots and tosses them aside on a rejected costume pile.
-She crushes the sensitive area of the bottom of Poderosa's pantyhose-covered feet, causing the heroine to scream in pain.
-She removes Poderosa's mask, taking a photo of the heroine's face while she protests vehemently, and exposing her secret identity.
-She calls up the Army general, who isn't fond of superheroines, and reports to him that she has accomplished what he hired her to do.
-She knocks out Poderosa with a mighty punch, and the heroine is sprawled out on the floor, nearly unconscious.
-For the final humiliation, she uncorks a vial of radioactive Drainium 'flakes' and scatters them liberally all over Poderosa's tight costume.

The video ends with Poderosa on the floor, twitching in agony and despair as the Drainium flakes sap the last vestiges of her power, and she is completely defeated.

So yeah, we have a cool kryptonite weakening scene! Thanks to Vulpor for the fantastic idea.

This for me is her best krytonite scene. I just wish she was wearing the costume, but that red dress is great.
