Movie stars Xolo Mariduena, who brings in a large fanbase from Cobra Kai.
All-Latino cast except for Susan Sarandon (main villain).
Doesn't look like there's any superheroine content whatsoever.
One bright spot might be Blue Beetle's love interest Jenny, played by Brazilian actress Bruna Marquezine.
She has no action-movie experience; her entire background has been in telenovelas.
Apparently "Palmera City" is a brand-new DC Universe city created just so Blue Beetle could have his own unique locale.
(The movie was shot in El Paso, where he lives in the comics).
Anyone looking forward to this one? August 18 release.
