My attempt at making tentacles for a shoot. Real easy to make and cheap. I get 6 foot lengths out of these. Will probably make a good dozen. Also you can use a smaller tube to link them together. Flexible and soft foam. I'll probably post a tutorial somewhere.

Basically plumbing pipe insulation foam tubing, some monster mask latex, green lime oops paint and clear glossy spray sealer.

They look good! It should also have little weight. Is it going to be static?

They are flexible. I need to figure out a wire scheme for some of them to wrap around arms and legs. Right now they wrap fine but won't stay.

I found this tutorial, it is a mechanism
which is not cheap, but maybe you can get some idea.
