I first heard about this Indiegogo campaign tonight on EVS' livestream show - the campaign just launched a couple days ago.

This looks like the sexiest superheroine book in quite a while - it almost has echoes of Penthouse Comix
(the main character reminds me a lot of Miss Adventure) and definitely of Fem Force and Empowered
(heroines losing parts of their costumes...villain names like 'The Tromboner'...etc).

If you backed Arachna, you'll probably want to check this out as well.

Artist and creator Clint Hilinski is a reliable veteran who has already delivered on 4 previous Indiegogo campaigns.
He's an established comics pro for DC, Dark Horse, Image, Avatar, Arcana, Zenescope, Bluewater, Devils Due and other companies.
He's worked on such titles as Lady Death, Stargate, Xena, KISS, Justice League, and Voltron.

It's THE BLUE BOMBSHELL. Back it today on Indiegogo. I did! (I'm backer #134)
(and yes, the price is considerable. That's what crowdfunded books cost. They're printed in low volume.)

Here's the interview with Blue Bombshell creator Clint Hilinski on the Critical Blast channel,
which hopefully will convince some folks here to back his campaign!

Indeed. BWA-HA-HA!

And muy sexy. Zee Crimson Fox(es). The sizzling Fire and Ice. Power Girl. Even lovely Maya.

You have the wait til the very end of the interview, though, where Clint Hilinski admits to being a huge fan of Penthouse Comix
and the ample bosoms of Hericane. It's a precious moment!

Received the Blue Bombshell package yesterday!

This makes four excellent crowdfunded comics we've received over the past month:
- Billy Tucci and Maria Laura Sanapo's Miss Fury TPB.
- Blue Bombshell.
- Ron Frenz's RIGHT Project. (created in Pittsburgh)
- 'Beardzzerker' by Don Chin and Bill Maus, with the Billy Tucci 'Shi' cover.

And what's my assessment of Blue Bombshell? Well, just as advertised, it's extremely sexy.

The first story has tons of panels with shapely superheroines in tight costumes. Both Blue Bombshell and Sister Power (a female version of Luke Cage) lose parts of their costumes, and Jungle Queen fights completely topless from the get-go - she doesn't need to wear much in the 'Ravaged Lands'. Speaking of which, there's a homage to Rogue in the Savage Lands when Blue Bombshell reduces her garb to a very skimpy ripped-up number. We see glimpses of her well-trimmed bush here and there, as well.

There is some very nice female-on female combat, and a few panels of sexy peril, such as when the vampire King Cadaver
fondles the "cheerleader" heroine (I don't know her actual name, see below in the criticisms) and she responds coquettishly, "No..I must resist!" But mostly it's solid action.

The second story, which introduces the "Vixens" as what seems like a sub-group of the larger Superiors (Hilinski's version of the Justice League) is more explicit. The superheroine Liberty is knocked out by gas; strapped to a vertical table; hypnotized by Nazi supervillainess Fraulein Fetish (yup!); and then the two ladies go to town on each other's lovely breasts.

But the Fraulein isn't the only hypnotic villainess working for the "13th Reich" - they have two! There's also a hypnotic harlot in tight leather by the name of Temptress - she blasts Bombshell's costume to smithereens (I think we see a pattern here, with as much costume destruction as in an Empowered comic). Temptress then hypnotizes the male teammates Torpedo and Blaster (a parody of Beetle and Booster) and the boys start fondling Bombshell all over. Torpedo (true to his name) tries to do Bombshell anally but is stopped. Then the Temptress comes onto Bombshell directly, and gets her to submit to a muscular villain by the name of Mister Tenticles (yes it's misspelled, see the criticisms below). Then there's a whole page of tentacle oral sex and Bombshell's costume is even further exposed. The Fraulein then re-enters the action, tearing off Liberty's costume until she is completely exposed. Temptress hits Bombshell with another blast of her hypno-ray, and then both she and Fraulein are caught in a three-way as five male superheroes burst through the wall to save them from the orgy.

Is it done yet? Nope. Fraulein and Temptress surround the superhero Captain Saturn and try to restrain him with a whip and hypnotize him. Then Fraulein breaks off and attacks Bombshell again, shredding further what little is left of her costume. They go at each other's throats in brutal combat, until another male superhero (I don't think he is named in the comic, see the criticisms below) intervenes and helps to drive Fraulein and the Reichsmeisters back through a teleportal. The whole thing is declared a 'draw' by Bombshell.

So, yeah...the book is pretty damn sexy. But for some reason, it just doesn't go the extra mile that Penthouse Comix did, although it's clearly influenced by Adam Hughes and the like from that legendary porn comic series (Bombshell is pretty much Ms. Adventure).
It comes very close with both oral and tons of foreplay, but there are no penetrative sex acts shown in the book, and nobody achieves orgasm. Maybe Clint Hilinski just wanted to stop one step away from complete superheroine porn. Which is fine.

And now for the criticisms: There's no question that this book will arouse you. But there are two things that might take you a bit out of the immersion:

- Despite having an "editor", this book has tons of misspellings and typos scattered across the stories. Below, you can see two misspellings in one panel! I very much doubt that the name of the villain "Mr Tenticles" is misspelled on purpose...twice.
And I don't think the letter even knows what a comma or dash is, because mid-sentence punctuation is hardly even used.
This is a considerable drawback for a comic which otherwise has a rather professional and mature presentation.

-The other big issue is identification of the characters. There are too many characters who appear in only one panel, or
their superhero names are never identified, even if they appear in a splash page or a group shot. Heck, even three of the
sexy superheroines on the cover are never identified in the comic! A roster would have been helpful, or just making sure everyone's name is at least briefly introduced in the dialogue. It's not like they can't do it - when the villains are arrayed in a two-page splash, all of their names are listed - they just seem to have forgotten to do it in various places, for some reason.

Otherwise than that, I recommend this comic highly for those looking for sexy superheroines who have been satisfied in the past with Empowered or Penthouse Comix. Unfortunately, the Indiegogo campaign for this book is closed, but I would bet that when Clint launches his future sexy titles - he lists "Vixens" and "Superiors" coming in the the near future - you'll be able to pick up Blue Bombshell as part of a bundle offer in his next campaign.

Any bondage? I don't expect sex but some tie ups would be nice.

The only bondage is Liberty being strapped to a vertical table for three pages while Fraulein Fetish puts some boob-licking moves
on her.

I think I will personally recommend some tie-ups and tie-downs to Clint for his next issue, which might be "Vixens."
