Your task is simple, put a movie name to the screenshot(s) or video clip posted before.
If the answer is correct...it's your turn! Post a screenshot/movie picture or a video clip and let the other folks take their best shots.
If no one gets it, additional pictures or clips can be posted for further assistance.

Let's see if we can get some folks active with that!

I'll start:

-

What's the movie title?
The first one with a correct answer wins an imaginary superheroine of his/her choice ;)

No idea... I'm guessing some sort of Titanic themed film and he's the radio op on California (or was it Carpathia)

S. O. S TITANIC maybe?
Thats a minor Brit actor who was in sitcoms late 70s early 80s so as thats 1977 I will go with that.
(if it is, my mate was actually in that film, lol)

Plus the SOS on the radio would tie it in to the title of that movie

I was going to guess "A Night to Remember" and then realized that that movie was shot in black and white. This looks like it could have been colorized. But I'm probably wrong. Interesting game though. Thanks, Maskripper.

Late returns, something horrible from 1998 called "Chambermaid on the Titanic."

Yep, exactly...it's S.O.S. Titanic. Nicely done!
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0079836

Interesting aspect (IMDB):
The movie was originally released in two versions. A 140 minute version told in flashback fashion was shown on American TV, and a 109 minute version shown in European theaters. This is the version available on DVD & VHS

The 140 minute version just starts with this scene, in the shorter cut it's somewhere in the middle. I much prefer the longer cut, even the picture quality is like seen above.
The shorter version looks better.
And yeah, it's the Carpathia, the ship that picked up the survivors.

OK (my mate played an Irish steerage passenger in SOS Titanic, nothing like Leo DiCaprio however!)

I'm afraid I'm no good at posting vid clips as I can't edit them so they all have the title in the trailer etc so here are some stills from a little known Brit comedy classic starring a certain well known Yank...

This should be easy, if you can name the actors.
Spoiler
The actor in the crash helmet later owned a bullet with his name carved into it. The other actor was a quiet man, who covered the war without reservations.

Correct, of course. The actors being John Wayne, and Tony 'Baldrick' Robinson (Robinson is the one in the crash helmet, if you're having trouble telling them apart.)

I was trying to look for a film with unlikely costars. There was one in which June Brown (aka Dot Cotton from UK soap EastEnders) was in a cameo scene with Charles Bronson, but I couldn't remember its name.

Oh, pleeeeease tell me that was "for services to cunning plans"..?!?

As far as clues go for the Doc's latest effort, I'll let others make a guess... but if I'm not wrong then a cryptic clue might be "think about four bags of Bertie Bassett candy" (assuming I'm right.)

To be fair, five_red really got it. The Bertie Bassett reference was the giveaway.

The fact that his bed has the name K. Russ... on it suggests this is legendary director Ken Russell. :D

If you haven't got it yet, maybe you need to take a stress pill and think things over.

Well I'm never gonna get stressed over this as I don't know the movie. Never seen it never heard of Davidson being in anything with Malkovich.
He's known for his art house type stuff so assume this is one of those.
I'm sitting this one out in favour of someone who knows it.
You look right about Russell. Once I knew I hadn't seen it didn't pay much attention to the bottom pic

No, not necessarily. It's not the first choice, but in some cases, we would need days to figure out a single movie.
If we would get it at all.
But ok, maybe I could have waited with the solution a little longer....

What's the hurry? A couple of days gives others a chance to solve it and if no one does the poster can either add more clues or give the answer and post another. Or it becomes the first person to look up an actor's bio.

So, the only one who seems to know this rather easy one doesn't solve it.... :giggle:
Ok, the correct franchise was already named.

Now I give one final clue so that everybody with the bare minimum of knowledge can solve it:
Add something related to Charles Darwin to the name of the franchise and you have the title of this movie.

If this isn't solved within the next hours I will start a new one.

Look at the language of the latter part of the clue. The word 'fate' - are there any synonyms? The kind of letter that 'z' is.
