Okay, folks, more fun and games for those of us who appreciate the truly bizarre in life. I've started this thread of links to samples of the worst song performances by well-known stars who thought they could branch out with their popularity.

I'll start it off with Kojak's Telly Savalas taking a crack at the song "If" by Bread. Click on it if you dare!

I welcome others to share their horrific finds here and any comments you might care to share.

Remember Madonna's video for Papa Don't Preach starring Danny Aiello as the angry father of a pregnant girl? Well, Aiello didn't like how his character was treated in that video, so he decided to record his own unofficial sequel song. For your pleasure, here is Danny Aiello 'singing' Papa Wants the Best for You.

Thank you, dlo005 and heroine addict! Two very questionable performances there. Hard to believe that is really Aiello singing. The anguish of his feelings for his wayward daughter is some fine scenery chewing though.

A rotten eggman. Apparently channeling Mark Chapman's talent for Beatle-murdering, here's Jim Carrey's version of I Am the Walrus.

This was from a George Martin vanity project with a bunch of major stars doing crap Beatles covers. IIRC, the same album had Sean Connery doing a spoken version of In My Life.

No deluded actor playlist can be complete without a bit of Shatner and the Hoff.

I posted the Shatner in another thread (Leonard Nemoy Day) as well as the Stevie Griffin parody of it. That's what gave me the idea to start this thread.

Holy crap! That Leonard Nimoy video on the other thread is disturbing. As it was made in 1968, can we be certain that viewing it wasn't the thing that sent Charles Manson over the edge?

If you can't sing, just bellow. That's Oliver Reed's technique in The Who's rock opera Tommy.

To be fair, Ollie probably filmed those scenes immediately after quaffing enough booze to kill a horse.

Remember that time when Crispin Glover refused to appear in Back to the Future II? (He later sued the studio after they had re-used his face molds from the first film to make a prosthetic Crispin Glover / George McFly face for the replacement actor.)

This is how Glover instead chose to spend his time in 1989.

McCaulay Culkin has (or had at one point? I hope it's over) a band called the Pizza Underground. Concept: a Velvet Underground cover band, but the songs are all about pizza. That's... basically it.
