^ Nice images! I'm not the bigggest fan of the 80's, and I really love the WW1 setting from the first one.
But I'm sure I will like the movie in the end. And Wonder Woman plays in the good team (DC) so I will watch that movie in the first week. ;-)
Would like to know more about the villain...Who is that? What are his sinister plans? How is he a danger to Wonder Woman? etc.

Two villains in this upcoming WW movie: Maxwell Lord with psychic skills as well as Cheetah played by Kristin Wiig.

Psyhic skills? Interesting :-)
A yes, I forgot about Cheetah for a second.
Well, looks like they have a lot to show for the future trailers ;)

The whole trailer is an excuse to remix "Blue Monday" with an orchestra. Even the gunshots are in time with the legendary drum machine hits.
Amazing!!

Is the whole movie going to contain orchestral versions of 1980s dance hits?

I could almost forgive what I've seen of the Cheetah costume so far, because it doesn't look very good.

That golden armor is incredibly beautiful, though, just like Gal herself.

Looked okay I guess. No idea of anything that's going on except a lot of '80s references. Apparently a proper sequel but we're still doing prequels with WW so I guess it is what it is.

I was a little surprised myself as I'd heard it wasn't going to be a precise sequel... but maybe it's supposed to be a sequel to WW but not necessarily a prequel to Justice League?

IF she were to get her claws into Wonder Woman, perhaps where it could be both pleasurable and painful to Diana, that would be interesting. : )

They don't seem to care about the conitinuety

After WW1 (which I still have a problem with) WW supposidly shut herself off. That is mentioned in both Justice League and Batman vs superman

Given the salad spinner of fuck that is the DCU at this point I'm guessing continuity is out the window. And it might be a good thing? The MCU is the MCU, tightly controlled, tightly plotted and planned. All the movies have to share the continuity, a lot of the tone, a lot of the rules. DC probably wish they had that sort of setup, but they don't, and the trade-off is that they have absolute freedom to do whatever they like. You wouldn't ever get something like Joker out of the MCU, and whether you liked that movie or not it was at least interesting.

The chaos of the DCU could be its greatest strength, at least in terms of producing interesting standalone movies.

Photo of the fully transformed Cheetah was 'leaked' and then retracted? If you can withstand Nerdette's screechy voice in this video (she makes good geek-culture videos but her voice is nearly intolerable), you'll find out a bit more about how the photo is supposedly disappearing from some tweets and posts. But of course, Streisand Effect!

Cheetah doesn't look too bad - she generally has the appearance she's had throughout the 2000s (for example, in Secret Six) before her complete 'animalistic' look since DC Rebirth, and of course people are joking how it's 'better than Cats'. Although IMHO the film may have missed the opportunity to create a sexy villainess icon on the level of a Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman by not casting someone with a bit more beauty and shapeliness than Kristen Wiig. But I guess they were going more for the humor element.

Also, if you weren't aware yet, Nerdette explains that the actor playing Maxwell Lord is also the Mandalorian. That's a fun thing to realize, because it will make Star Wars fans want to check the movie out a bit more.

In this article, you can see how the Cheetah image was removed by Warner Brothers from all but one of the tweets that are listed:

At first I felt that Gadot's expression in this picture immediately above wasn't working. Her face seemed too wary and/or innocent. But then I thought that she's wearing the golden armor because I believe Wonder Woman gets badly wounded by Cheetah and that expression of a hint of fear might be right on the nose. I just hope the release date on this movie doesn't get moved back too, due to Covid-19. But there's time for that decision to be made yet.

Seems like there are basically 2 options for movies, now. Either they get pushed WAY back. Or else they are getting released straight to streaming platforms.

It seems like so far there are only a few movies that have already gone straight to streaming. Onward (Pixar), The Invisible Man, and Frozen 2. Feels like the movies studios are sort've testing the waters here to see how well these movies do before they start makng decisions about other movies.

New release date is August 14th.

This seems overly optimistic to me. This Corona thing is going to drag on a LONG time.
Right now, the number of cases is still rising dramatically.

The start is a good 5 months away. The chinese battled through it in 3 months.
Time that the rest of the world copies something from China for a change.
Or even does better than that.

Are things back to normal in China? Are their movie theaters open?

So 5 months for China dealing with this virus will be 2 months from now. And by then, China's gov is going to let all the people stop social distancing, quarantining, and go out again in public, get together in groups, crowds, restaurants, gather in theaters, and they'll still have close to zero cases cause they've battled through it? Maybe. We'll see.

Not really back to normal yet, but I read that 500 movie theaters open at the end of the month (as a first step).

The poster child for dealing with Coronavirus is South Korea. They were hit with the virus in January, and are pretty much done with it now. I haven't read a good rundown on how they handled it, apart from the basic "detect, quarantine, treat, and track any new cases" methodology. It may have helped that it hit them in the winter. SK has harsh winters, and I get the impression that people kind of stay home and wait it out anyway.

There is speculation that it could be a seasonal virus like the flu. So could go through all this next winter. Who knows.

Hope not obviously.

BUT Twitler says he will have it limited by Easter, which is, ya know, a beautiful time line. So maybe we will see Wondie soon after all.

Stay safe guys as and gals

China coped with it because they have the kind of society were the government can impose very heavy restrictions on the population, and their culture is such that the people followed the orders with little fuss. Basically they ordered (didn't ask, ordered!) a comprehensive lock down early on, did huge amounts of testing, had large-scale plans already in place to create temporary hospitals, had people out in front of supermarkets taking everyone's temperature and ordering (not asking) anyone with a suspect high reading to go to said quarantine hospitals. They'd even gone as far as to plan out basic activities for the people in the hospitals to do so they didn't get bored and depressed. Using all these measures they were able to limit the ability of the virus to spread early on in its cycle, to the point were they were able to get the number of fresh daily cases to level off pretty quick.

The countries that have coped with the virus the best thus far are ones where the populations trusted and cooperated with their governments when they imposed draconian measures, and where said governments had seen the sense of allocating the required amount of taxes on planning and preparing as an insurance against the possibility of such an outbreak. (For example, I hear that the Scandinavian countries and Holland may have done quite well because high percentages of citizens followed government advice, and their governments adopted mass testing very early on to detect and isolate the infected.)

Long story short: don't be too disappointed if countries like the USA take a lot longer for the infection rate to level off, compared to China. :)
