Hey, remember when Superman turned into a blue lightning ghost during the late '90s because DC thought he was getting "stale" and "out of touch"? Yeah, me neither.

But if nothing else, at least it gave us this little piece of delightfulness. Who knew Lois had such a wicked sense of humor?

Sadly, Lois the Girl Wonder doesn't really appear much in the story, which is about some bullcrap involving dragon's teeth and ancient giants or something. There is, however, still this little panel.

I feel absolutely no shame in saying that this would've made a much better backbone for Batman v. Superman.

(A note about the art, for people who care: this issue was guest-drawn by Norm Breyfogle, who drew a big chunk of Batman books in the late '80s and early '90s but by this time was pretty much delegated to fill-in work. It's not exactly from his prime, and the paper quality plus Josef Rubenstein's inks make everything look... softer than his peak work, but I think I kinda prefer it that way.)
