To celebrate the commencement of the 2014 wizard short story contest (rules: http://www.superheroinecentral.com/~wizard/Contest.html)

I thought I'd share with you my list for the best erotic superheroine fiction writers of the past 15 years (1999-2014). Feel free to add comments and your own lists.

10. Nightcreeper - This author has been active in the superheroine erotic fiction community since the late 90s. He has written over 50 stories in various heroine sub genres including video game, comic book, and anime. His writing style is simple and straightforward. Where it lacks in an over abundance in detail, it makes up for in spicy sex scenes. Although his primary focus is on the Street Fighter video game series, he has written numerous stories about DC and Marvel comic heroines.

09. ScandelX - Long since retired from the genre, this writer was active in the early 2000s on the greyarchive.org. During that time, he wrote one of the more memorable trilogy of stories starring Batgirl known in some circles as "The Mariner Trilogy," in which Barbara Gordon fought a vengeful thief and criminal mariner, as well as a circus of crime.

08.GlavisK - Like ScandelX, this writer was also a regular contributer to the greyarchive more than a decade ago. He also wrote an awesome Batgirl trilogy of adventures (Terror Cove, Last Gasp, and Hat Trick). He is also the author of the wonderful "Slaves to Fashion."

07. Trent Wolf - If you started reading superheroine erotica back in the 2000s, you knew this name. This man wrote some of the most diverse and interesting superhero stories on the web. At his peak, he was the webmaster for "The WolfsDen," an online site where he archived his work. A frequent collaborator with fellow superheroine fetish writer Perilmaster, Trent Wolf produced a collection of work that touched on a variety of superheroines, inluding comic and tv. Sadly, Trent is no longer active in the community as a writer, but his work lives on online.

06. Perilmaster - A frequent partner in crime with Trent Wolf, Perilmaster is prehaps a little known name to todays community. But a decade ago, he was one of the greatest writers in the genre. I paraphrase a famous quote of his: "I started this [writing superheroine erotica] to see how far I could take my imagination, and he certainly took it very far.

05. The Willow - The only reason the Willow is this low on my list is because he only ever posted 2 stories online. However, both these stories were and still remain among the best that superheroine erotic fiction can offer. Anyone who wants a lesson on how to write an amazing superheroine brainwashing story, must read Willow's "The Capture of Wonder Woman." It is a deeply huanting, depressing, and gripping tale of Diana's kidnapping and eventual seduction at the hands of evil. The other story "The Capture of Wasp" is found on willows yahoo group. It is amazing as well.

04. Mr. X - One of the great tragedies in our community is the day Mr. X decided to retire from writing superheroine erotica. A marvelous writer and talented storyteller. His stories combined sensual sex scenes with gripping dialogue and fun characters. A truely talented gentleman, Mr. X's collection includes some of the most memorable superheroine stories online to date.

03. Nimrod - For anyone who is a tennis fan, there once was a singular player named Bjon Borg. A swedish iceman who craved a knife through the fabric of the game and left his mark on the sport. Similarly, Nimrod is an author who penned a collection of prehaps some of the most fantastic superheroine erotic fiction online. Known for his "Breaking" series, in which each story focuses on the capture and subsequent enslavement/brainwashing of a superheroine, Nimrod's style is very methodical, patterned, and precise. There is always a sense of hopelessness when you read his stories because you know what will happen to the poor heroine, and you want to help her, but you can't.

02. Dangerguy One of the most well rounded authors on the web, Dangerguy can write almost anything and make it readable. A truly gifted writer, a collection of his stories can be found on the wizards lair. Make sure you read his Duster series, it will blow you away!

01. L'Espion A singular talent. L'Espion's stories read like real novels. He breathes life into his characters by giving them complex personalities and fleshed out backstories. As someone who prides himself in his original creations, he has written some of the best collection of superheroine erotica on the net. Visit his page at the wizards lair and you will find numerous stories about heroines from a variety of genres including swords/sorcery, superhero, and adventure. Aspiring writers should study his work to better understand how to write page turning dialogue and sexual scenes. L'Espion, no doubt #1 in my book.

I am afraid that I can't muster a Top 10 list, as I really only follow one specific erotic superheroine writer: Dark One, AKA Pigboy. His stories are, in a word, perfect - a flawless mix of sex, violence, and wit that I hope to be able to match one day with my own writings.

There are many other erotic superheroine writers that I am extremely fond of, but they all have one thing in common: they're not really good writers, but their stories always keep me coming back for re-reads. See, I'm of the opinion that porn can get away with a lot of flaws that other stories can't; indeed, things like weak plots, one-dimensional characters, cheesy dialogue, and even clunky grammar/spelling can actually enhance the experience.

I've read many of the more respected, objectively "better" writers in the genre, like the aforementioned L'Espion, but I don't think I ever finished one of their stories. They're better at descriptions, plot development, characterization, etc., etc., but the more realistic and well-crafted their stories are, the more uncomfortable they make me. They're nothing arousing about reading a real woman getting raped and mind-broken, and the more realistic stories all edge toward that territory - and heck, the authors are often all too happy to describe how deeply traumatized their heroines are by all the perils they've faced.

So... to finish up the ramble with a clumsy metaphor: I'm sure that there are people who enjoy the Chris Nolan school of super heroine erotica, but I'll stick with the Adam West flavor.

Here are my favs in no particular order.

- Seraoni -
Those who are familiar with Seraoni probably aren't surprised they are on my list. Mega violent SG series with non stop brutality. Might be too violent for some but I love their work and was very excited any time Mr X posted an update involving Seraoni.

- RW -
Really dug his Missions of SG series, especially that agent King! Love that guy lol...

- Flexman -
Amazing characters with psychological peril to the max. His summer vacation series is a must read for any Bats fans.

- Joniar -
A very well done SG series with lighter perils involving mostly physical battles.

Honorable mention (individual stories)
SG vs the Syntarian by Fappa
SG vs 681 by Munich
A cop felt in the park by I can't remember... its been so long :(
Supergirl vs the demon... so awesome but I never knew who wrote it. I think I first stumbled across this in like 97 or 98... Someone did a piece of artwork for this story a LONG time ago and I lost it many hard drives ago. If someone out there has it I would be grateful for a link!

I can see your point, but I'm opposite of you. I am 100% JUMPING toward the "nolan" school of erotica. 4 of my top 5 authors trend toward the more realistic style of writing. I guess it's just my taste, I like the sadder, more depressing, and more realistic outcomes of what happens to heroines when they are captured. And while I agree that all these writers have their flaws (some of my list more pronounced than others), I tend to enjoy them. To each his own.

So many really talented writers, it's tough to decide. It's actually my favorite format. DarkOne, Knyght, Mr. X (who's writing is awesome, but doesn't write much anymore - shame), Not U are just a few..

Here are a few that I treasure:

1.) RW -- His Missions of Supergirl inspired me to start writing
2.) Marat -- His WW stuff is fantastic
3) Tallyho -- Brilliantly plotted, excellent detail, unique peril, insightful characters
4) Seraoni -- Fiendishly good
5) Joniar -- Great fight scenes
6) L'Espion -- Not every one of his is a home run but when he connects, out of the ballpark
7) GW -- Same as L'Espion
8) DM Shadow -- A steady performer and a fun read
9) Testcase -- Another steady performer I enjoy reading.
10) SGZ6 -- His captures are great and his sex scenes very strong.

Honorable mention: SupergirlX. Being a Supergirl devotee first and foremost, I love how she uses precarious and embarrassing situations to box in SG without the use of kryptonite.

The violent stuff doesn't scare me off. Frankly, I'm less thrilled with the campy, Adam West style stuff. But that's all a matter of taste. And I do like a mix of humor in my peril as well, so well-written campy will not be rejected out of hand.

Steven Bell, no contest. Genuinely good writer with unique, well thought out world and characters - which were both believable - and outstanding peril/sexual peril. He paced each story well and managed to straddle the line between gritty realism and campy exuberance. I would struggle to name any writer whose stories I enjoyed nearly as much as any one of the Ms Marvelous episodes.

Having said that, I have really enjoyed plenty of other writers. Honourable mentions to L'Espion, Mr X, Tallyho, Ladyjane, and Dark One (if only for his impressive volume of output)

Though I can enjoy any style, I totally subscribe to the Nolan school of dark, gritty, pseudo-realism, and would probably enjoy the Nolan version of anything. Even so, I agree with OW that to go FULLY into that style for SHIP fiction can shine too much of an uncomfortable light on the content, showing it as a harsh reality rather than as the fantasy it is intended to be.

Whoever did the "Ethernet" stories was great. And Mr. X is really one of the only reasons I ever got into the comic drawings of peril over at Superheroine Central. Wizard had some nice ones too!

Steven Bell, definitely, on that list. A major omission from my previous list. One of my all-time faves. Sorry Steven.

Great post. For those who like Supergirl here are my recommendations.

1. Supergirl vs 681 by Munich
It’s well written and unlike most stories in the genre it has depth. Excellent work.

2. The North Sea Domination by Sgirl911
It was hard to decide between first and second, but this story is as good as any. I recommend all of Sgirl911’s stories, as well as her art – if you can find it.

3. Supergirl vs The Demon by Steve Morley
I wish this author had written more stories. Definitely a must read.

4. BioWeapon by Sharon Best & Nemesis 9
This is the first erotic story I read. The scene where Supergirl is held from behind and displayed before an audience still stands out in my mind– brilliant stuff.

5. Tawilia By Joniar
Joniar has many excellent stories, so if you like this one check out his others.

6. Tika vs Supergirl by tarheel031
This one is pure fun. Just wish there was more.

7. Supergirl vs Helga Hammerfist by unknown
I usually don’t like wrestling/boxing themed stories but this is too good to ignore.

8. Supergirl vs. The Syntarian by Fappa
Many memorable moments.

9. Tazmanian Devils by Sgirl 911
It’s long but worth the read.

10. Deux and Data Suit by Sgirl 911 & Nemesis 9
Last but not least. These writers are top notch. My understanding is that they worked together, but if I’m mistaken please correct.

I look forward to reading everybody else’s lists. It’s always good to discover new writers.

Some awesome classic Supergirl stuff here. Too bad DC shut the page down way back then. Worst thing is that they did absolutely nothing with the domain name!

My 2 cents.

Nobody has mentioned Sharon Best, later Shadar, who created a whole superheroine realm called the Aurora Universe:

He brought in a number of others, including myself:

Shoutout to tallyho on this forum. His stuff is great.

Also, I love Raven's stories who are on the Wizard's Lair but also on Mr.X's page, maybe.

I also loved a story on the Chloroforum about super heroines but mostly a sleepy story. It was with a villain called Lord Ether and about all the heroines he knocked out and ravished. It was a brilliant story but I think it was lost when the Chloroforum went to a new phpBB.

If we are speaking about text stories my favorite writers of all time are':

1- Dark One (Mr. X Page)
2 - Titanville (Mr. X Page)
3 - Good Doctor (Wizard's Lair)
4 - Blacknite 13 (Mr. X Page)
5 - Trent Wolf (I believe he removed his work from the web)

If I have to pick one I would pick Titanville. He created his own characters and universe. The way he describes the superheroine instance with hands on the hips and the traps he creates for his superheroines are unbelievable. You notice how carefully he writes and the attention he pays to the details. Part 5 of To Bee or Not to Bee? is a masterpiece. I keep reading it many times and it always looks fresh and new. My dream would be to see this story becoming a movie.

Dark One is also great. I really admire how bold he was to decide to become a professional writer and I can't help supporting him by buying his work whenever I can. The body of his work is extensive.

Unfortunately the Good Doctor retired leaving the destiny of some of his creations in the limbo, but he had a pretty intense writing and he also created his own characters.

I cannot forget WHITE ANGEL MEETS MASTER SIN from Blacknite13. This was one of my favorite stories and I eagerly waited that he would write a sequel to it. Unfortunately it never happened. The Might Crusader movie from Primal reminds me a lot of this one.

Another work worth mentioning in my opinion was Trent Wolf's Silver Seraphim saga. I really enjoyed the first chapters.

If we are speaking about Poser stories then Nightwing316 and Mr X are unbeatable. For me it is really hard to imagine where this genre would be without Mr X. He is a pioneer that keeps evolving with time. The best word to describe him is hors concours. If we had a hall of fame, he should be the first one to be inducted.

Actually, I want to give a shoutout to all the writers of the Stories subforum we have here. I read almost all of them, I don't respond to all of them, but I read and appreciate all of them.

You guys are the best! Thank you for your stories.

Interesting and gratifying to see that I was mentioned here. Sadly, all of my stories at the Wizard's Lair have been removed during its renovation and have yet to be restored. I do have a number at deviantArt. https://www.deviantart.com/lespion1944 and am planning to repost many of the Wizard's Lair stories at Erolair http://erolair.com/forums/l-espion-stories/. It will take a while since there are a lot of them.

Wow, I remember when this thread first came out, it's really been three years now since the thread went quiet?

Ricky, as you seem to have an appetite to read perhaps you could offer the names of good stories you have discovered in the last few years to help get the ball rolling. You seemed to like Blue Lynx ... why was that? Maybe the writer deserves a mention here?

Generally though you can't go wrong searching among the likes of ;

Centurion (via Flirty But Nice) - Fuchsia Fox series
Damselbinder - Enhancegirl Series and more.
BettyDreadful - Gossamer Ghost series
DrDominator9 - Assorted Stories - Defilers' Club was well received for example
Tallyho - Assorted SG stories.
Femina

Apologies to the myriad of people I've missed - I am not a big reader, my spare time goes into writing.

Anyone still able to find these stories? Stuff like PerilMaster, GlavisK, The Cliffhanger, The Willow yahoo group? It's been getting impossible to find them.

Big thanks to Mr X for still hosting Steve Bell too, wouldn't have found that without that. Also thanks to Danorian for that Supergirl site archive, that has authors like Joniar.

Also speaking of Nimrod, DBComix seems to be publishing some stuff of his from oldies like Breaking Batgirl/Vampirella to newer ones (at least ones I've never seen before) like Breaking Selene and Elektra/Psylocke. Anyone know if he's back or if they are also old stories?

A lot of the old stuff is very hard to find. You can try the Trent Wolf Yahoo groups, they are no longer active but they contain a lot of great oldies in the files section:

WOLFWORKS ARCHIVES

WOLFWORKS

If you remember some particular page, you can try your luck with the Internet Archive. For example, here is a 2004 snapshot of the Trent Wolf page with a bunch of stories that are very hard to find elsewhere.

This is great stuff. I reall appreciate the links to these amazing stories of Trent Wolf, thanks so much. I feel like I have discovered or rediscovered in some cases a treasure trove of great, interesting, spellbinding material. Trent Wolf is an amazing talent and kudos to you for letting people know where to find it.
