So in the heroine domination, are you enjoying putting yourself in their place or the villain(ess)?
For me it's definitely the heroine.
Who do you empathise with?

I find I tend to switch my identification from the heroine to the villainess at the moment the trap is sprung and it becomes clear that the worst could happen and will happen. Mainstream SH stories often dangle the possibility of defeat and humiliation in front of us (and then cruelly tug it away) but SH Peril videos subvert the genre by finally delivering on that promise.
The way I see it, these SH Peril videos all tell the story of the shocking defeat of a heroine who always wins. I temporarily forget that I've seen Princess Paradise or Knightwoman converted into nymphos many times before and instead view each new video as the final grubby chapter in a hereto spotless crimefighting career.
It's a guilty pleasure to root for the villain(ess) when virtually every mainstream story has programmed us to root for the hero(ine).

Very well put HA.
I agree with everything said.
But also on occasion I too veer between villainess and heroine but for me it depends upon who looks hotter in the vid- then I side with the other.

Oh, definitely. I would love to see a hot villainess such as Virago or Electra Star in peril. However, as it wouldn't be a very heroic thing to do, the ideal scenario (for me) would be for a superheroine to be converted to the dark side and then decide that she's going to be the "Mistress" now. Then we would get the double treat of an innocent superheroine defiled and a villainess humiliated by her own creation.tallyho wrote:Very well put HA.

Are you including unmasking as a form of heroine domination? As you're clearly a big fan of unmasking (as am I), surely you find yourself siding with the villain(ess) who wants to rip off the heroine's mask?Unmaskee wrote:So in the heroine domination, are you enjoying putting yourself in their place or the villain(ess)?

Having said that, some unmaskings of villainesses would definitely be nice.
"A brass unicorn has been catapulted across a London street and impaled an eminent surgeon. Words fail me, gentlemen."
Oh, definitely the captive. But, on some level there must be some identification with the captor, to make the whole scenario resonate. Or, umm, such would be my reasoning, anyway. I think. Umm. But IIRC the line of thought relies heavily on since-discredited psychoanalytic ideas. Sooo... simple answer, identify with the captive, yes.
It is a good question, I think. Once you've answered that, you can start to look at the themes which are most resonant for you, then try to grasp the mix as a series of symbols. Addressing the OP (and hoping not to drag things OT...), you presumably identify with Batgirl being unmasked. See, I'm intuitive. I can just discern these things, who knows how. But why does that loom large? What does the unmasking mean for you? I identify with Batgirl, but eschew the removal of the mask because then the character is no longer Batgirl at all, possibly just some Jane Doe to the captor. But the symbols and themes which really work for me are... a bit weird. I can be sure that very few people would find them anything other than a turn-off. A so on. At any rate, these are the questions that interest me about the SHIB thing.
I'll just wander off mumbling now, and please pardon my moderately OT babblings.

I am seeing unmasking as a form of domination really but for me I want to feel what the heroine feels as she is unmasked. I'm putting myself in her shoes. And mask and costume.

Although that in itself is transgressive as the fear of being unmasked and the humiliation at being unmasked wouldn't be desirable feelings for the heroine. The character would desperately want to keep her secret identity intact while you and I want to see her exposed.Unmaskee wrote:I am seeing unmasking as a form of domination really but for me I want to feel what the heroine feels as she is unmasked. I'm wanting to feel the feelings that the heroine might feel as she is unmasked, that's what I find the erotic part if you like. It is both desirable and undesirable. Because it is undesirable to be unmasked, that's what I want... but yes in effect there is that slight empathy with the villain as I AM in reality wanting that exposure which the heroine would not - it's just that pleasure comes from imagining what it would be like to have that happen I guess. Which I don't think is quite the same as empathising with the villain of the piece.
I would like to face a powerful villainess, defeat her at first, then she would try to seduce me, to hypnotize me, to convince me how
good it feels to give up everything, to join the dark side.
Resisting her, then slowly succumbing, I want to feel what the heroine feels when she cannot fight anymore, when she is on her knees bowing to her new owner and saying "Yes goddess, I surrender, all my powers belong to you now".
It must be so intense, surrendering like that to someone you hate, you know you have everything you need to win, but instead you let yourself corrupt. How humiliating it would be to see your arch nemesis laughing at you, sensually flipping her hair, telling you how much she is better than you in every way.
So yes, I choose the heroine, i want to fight crime.

Its strange, i always put myself in the place of the heroine but always as more of just being there watching or helping...not being the dom or the sub...sounds weird..i always try to envision what she is thinking as she is being stretched, on the table saw or the pattern cutter....its weird and has even overflowed into other areas of interest for me...such as with an interracial fantasy i have...seeing the young blonde heroine being gangbanged by a group of black men....its amazing...i want to be her but at the same time i am like no freaking way! She seems to be enjoying it so much that i want to be in her place but dont want to be in her place...weird i know...guess thats what porn does to a girls mind! lol

To echo's Batgirl's "it's strange" comment, it's...well...strange. I always empathize with the superheroine. I know some people will root for either the superheroine or the supervillainness, depending on whom they find more attractive. For me, it's the opposite: I'll find the superheroine more attractive than the supervillainness regardless of my preference outside of those roles, and the supervillainness won't be attractive to me at all. Diana Knight as Wonder Woman? Absolute perfection. Diana Knight as a villain? Does absolutely nothing for me personally, although I know there are many, many people who feel otherwise (and it looks like DK herself certainly enjoys the latter).
But while I'm more attracted to and rooting for the superheroine to win in the end, I also want to see her struggling and being overwhelmed. I empathize with her to the degree that I sense her feelings of fear and desperation, but not to the degree that I envision myself in her proverbial shoes. And the thrill is directly proportionate to how dire the threat is. The more confident and powerful she usually is, the more shocking, and thus, exciting, it is to see her helpless.

I DO love being the villain and I' very glad that I've had the success at it that I have,.. Not a whole lot of actresses in our genre can pull it off,. but just once,.. I'd like to be hired to play the heroine. If not just to do something different for a change. Hell,.. even I get tired of seeing me play the bad girl.
Thanks, Superman!

Heheh. Lady Di IS an awesome villainess. One needs that ability to "chew scenery" to really come off as a baddy, for me. If you even think of the TV shows and movies, the heroes and heroines are certainly meant to be engaging, but the villain or villainess tends to be the one delivering the monologues, cackling over their own genius, etc. Di, imo, does this better than almost anyone else in the biz...
But I do agree with her, there's an untapped "other side" Di's not had too many chances to show off, and I for one would love to see it.
Oh, wait... I have! I shot it!

Couldn't say it any better myself. I want the superheroine to fight her way through the battle with the evil counterpart, with some struggling of course. If she is seen as a strong heroine, the better the struggle is in my eyes as it is seen as a major surprise. I don't envision myself in her proverbial shoes, but I empathize with her in regards to her fear of losing, the trying to keep her identity a secret and need to keep her dignity in tact.Superman246o1 wrote: But while I'm more attracted to and rooting for the superheroine to win in the end, I also want to see her struggling and being overwhelmed. I've always felt that empowered struggling was far more sexy than total surrender,. "just please get me out of this" peril.

I agree with this totally. I hate seeing superheroines who seem to have accepted their fate. I would much rather they put everything into trying to get free. This is made even sexier by a villainess continuing to taunt them.

A full series where Diana and Christina swap roles.... sounds great.
I very much empathize with the fallen superheroine. In her quest to do the right thing, she often winds up getting knocked out. All her courage and moxie results in a beautiful and helpless heap on the floor.
While I don't identify with the villain, I admit I wish I was him/her/it, if only to get a better look at the totally vulnerable superheroine.
