What's everybody's opinion?

Helen Slater's version is the perfect look for me.
.
.
I’m not typically a fan of skirts on superheroine costumes, which is why Supergirl isn’t one of my favorite characters but for the character, I prefer the traditional look, either Helen Slater or the original costume Melissa Benoist wore.
In your photo I see a cartoon character; a smoking hot babe with a kick ass body who looks like she knows how to have fun and doesn't take herself too seriously and who's 1/2 step away from soft corn porn; a hot girl still trying to look sexy but not too sexy and is concerned about being stereotyped as a sex object and thinks naively that men might actually be interested in what she has to say instead just wanting to fuck her, and finally a straight man hating butch lesbian with no sex appeal whatsoever and less interest in sex at all.
I liked the television skirt version. Looked cute, but not slutty. The Helen slater version just looks dated. The hot pants and crop top modeled in the pilot was cute also.
I agree. That version was great and was had a cute and flirty look. The girl is very attractive. But that was before the show writers got hijacked by the progressives who aimed to take the sex out of sex appeal and sterilize the show.
I hate we got teased with the spandex outfit and got whatever crap material costume CBS decided to use! Have to wonder what that regular costume would've looked like if they used spandex for the material!
They were making the show for a general audience. You can go on line to look at every slutty iteration of the character. The costume she wore on the show looked good. I was fairly true to the character. Pants totally make sense if you are actually flying around. Skirts and booty shorts don't. She looked good and the show was fun. Her costume was not super practical, and she looked pretty good in it.
I love Superheroines. Especially superheroine in flirty skirts/dresses. It is no secret I am, and will always be, a HUGE original Kara Zor El Supergirl fan. And except for a few exciting years where we saw Kara in hot pants (WOW), Supergirl is a beautiful girl, with blonde hair, blue eyes, wearing a skirt (or a blue dress in early years). I am a believer in, "Whatever gets you through the night" (John Lennon), but to me Supergirl will always have a skirt and lovely firm tan bare legs. Thank you to Alexander and Ilya Salkind for providing us with an amazing live version an iconic superheroine. And of course, thanks to Helen Slater for being what I consider the best portrayal of Kara Zor El to date.
Skirt, though the above leotard is pretty hot.

Outdated? Indeed, it is a bit. I like its material which is just right and softly clings to the body. I'm not sure if this style of skirt is called fit and flare, but the enchanting part about it is that it discreetly yet faithfully displays the subtle movement of the female wearing it. Since Supergirl's cape often covers part of the skirt, it makes it seem like it's constantly flirting with me. The skirts on CBS & CW look much stiffer, so I've never really felt much for Melissa's Supergirl.
Actually, in different scenes of the movie, Helen Slater probably isn't wearing the same dress. The length and the details of the curved parts look somewhat inconsistent. My favourite part is when she flies into the castle and trapped in the transparent trap. The sway of the dress seems to struggle along with her.

The Melissa version is hot...but I also like the last version shown in the flash. Not bad the leotard new52.
"Remove .. my magic belt"..
The white crop top is pretty great too:
But this version is my favorite: Would love to see this with red boots instead of tights and high heels.

I liked that material too. IMHO, the material they used for her CW version her costume looked rather coarse?
I used to work sporting goods, and that CW costume material just kept me thinking of tarps! Not any cotton or spandex, which I would have gladly approved of!
My 2 cents.
