2024 Comicon Season: Heroineburgh
2024 Comicon season now kicks off with what is actually more of a private industry event:
ComicsPro, which is taking place in Pittsburgh PA for the 2nd straight year.
It's a gathering of almost 200 comic shop owners, and the publishers and distributors flock to the conference to present their releases for the upcoming year. Because it's in our hometown, we get to have a booth there. Last year, it was a big success for us, and I wound up adding more than a dozen new stores to our list of shops in North American which carry Heroineburgh Comics.
This year, we'll have a booth again in the room where in the morning and afternoon of Thu Feb 22 (separated by a sumptuous luncheon) we'll present our wares along with a couple dozen other publishers, and greet the retailers as they stroll by. All four Comicsburgh publishers (including Heroineburgh, The Edge, Beowulf and Theme of Thieves) will be in the building, along with our actress Bridget who plays Arctica. Her beauty and poise should be able to catch the eye of many in the assembled throng.
Tonight, we taped some clips with Bridget for a promotional video which will be assembled by the Theme of Thieves creator and placed on the ComicsPro site for all of the attendees to check out. Hopefully it will encourage them to check out our table. This is a short excerpt of the conclusion of the promo which I uploaded to Youtube.
As an articulate and charismatic spokesmodel, Bridget entices the comic shop owners with her frosty kiss!

The ComicsPro conference is over and it was a big success for Heroineburgh and our affiliated Comicsburgh publishing members.
We got our books in 5 more stores: Redd Skull in Calgary, Blackbird in Orlando, Geekout in Burleson TX, The Adventure Begins in Conroe TX, and The Pop Shop in Sandusky OH - which puts our store total over 240. We also sold a renewal order to our friends at 901 Comics in Memphis TN. And we're following up on about 10 more leads.
Also I met (and I'm now on a "first name basis" with) Geoff Johns and gave him a package of our books and vids. He has worked several times with our cover artist, DC colorist Jason Wright. He could not have been a nicer guy, whether it was stopping to talk with us at the conference, or at the signing at our LCS on Friday afternoon, where there were over 200 people in line that he treated with respect and interest.
I met Ken Levin, legendary founder of First Comics in the 80s (who published Grimjack, Jon Sable, Nexus and Badger, and our personal favorite, Whisper). I told him about the letter I had printed in an issue of Whisper when I was in high school (for those unfamiliar, Whisper was a masked female ninja in a very tight costume which she took on and off, A LOT, and she got into some great peril). He has a new version of his old company, 1First Comics, and he and I may be collaborating on some ads in the near future.
As far our heroines, they had lots of involvement in the conference.
Arctica (Bridget) spent Thursday with us in the Exhibit Room and attracted the store owners which helped us sell 54 books to the 6 stores.
She signed a sexy color photo for anyone who bought our starter pack of books. Bridget is an amazing saleswoman!
Also on Thursday night, we held a live rock show with three of our supervillainesses fronting their rock bands, which is something I've wanted to do for a long time, and the conference was a good excuse to do it. We had an attendance of about 50 and some nice local press, and a few of the conference attendees made it down to check the ladies' bands out.
The punk/grunge band led by Dysphoria (Steph) did a set of originals and then capped it off with a cover of "Jem and the Holograms" theme which guest starred vocals by Poderosa (Christina).
The extremely talented indie band led by Dark Spectra (Erika) did a set of originals and ended it a cover of the "Transformers Theme" from the movie (the one by the band, Lion). She started the set with a superheroine transformation where she stripped off a dress and revealed the tight sexy spandex costume underneath. And then halfway through the set she donned a set of luminous gossamer wings and danced through the audience.
And finally, the rock band led by Serpenta (Jessica B) did a smoking set of Jessica's original songs concluded by a cover of the "Thundercats" theme song. That one was a big surprise to the crowd.
Overall, the ladies really rocked and the weekend was fantastic for drumming up more interested in the Heroineburgh comics!
Eventually, we will also get a video release out of the live concert footage, probably a minisode in length.
Next weekend on Sat Mar 2, Heroineburgh and Comicsburgh are the headlining guests at a Comicon in DuBois PA, and Poderosa is coming with us!

Next weekend on Sat Mar 2, Heroineburgh and Comicsburgh are the headlining guests at a Comicon in DuBois PA, and Poderosa is coming with us!
So amazingly gorgeous, so incredibly powerful!
That's Poderosa, aka actress Christina, who killed it today at DuBois* SuperCon in DuBois PA, a smaller Con attended by a few hundred people where the Comicsburgh creators (The Edge, Heroineburgh, Beowulf, Theme of Thieves) ruled the roost.
We had a special guest booth up front with our huge banner behind us. We held a panel at 2 pm called "Script to Store" about the travails of making a comic book, and received lots of good questions. Then at 2:40 we showed Episode 12, the secret origin story of Poderosa, to a rapt audience of a dozen new fans young and old.
I sold 20 books, including 6 batches of #1-#3, and Christina signed publicity photos for the customers. She posed for at least a couple dozen social media photos with con-goers who came up to our table. She is engaging, exciting and extremely attractive, with a lovely smile, and we'll be bringing her along to as many events as possible! (along with Bridget and a few others)
Viva Poderosa and viva Heroineburgh! Our next joint event will be in April, and then we'll start the real frenetic Comicon season in mid-May onward.
Here are some shots from today in DuBois, a small but friendly town.
[Two more Poderosa releases will be out in a couple months: Episode 24, and the "Heroineburgh Rocks" video where she plays live on stage.]
Poderosa flexing her muscles with a small friend.
Poderosa making the best of being trapped between a Minion and a Mario.
Poderosa guarding the Comicsburgh table in her classic power pose. On the laptop you can see her appearance in Episode 21, and behind her are the publicity photos of many of the other heroines and villainesses of Heroineburgh.
Poderosa showing off her beauty and power for the DuBois comicon throng. That classic 1980s hairdo!
Poderosa lifting her billowy red cape and taking off into the skies at the conclusion of the SuperCon. She flew all the way back to Pittsburgh!
A message from the Latina superwoman herself. Read more comics!
* NOT pronounced "DOO-BWAH". Or "DOO-BWA-HA-HA", for that matter.

Great pix and video! Thanks for sharing!
I LOVE seeing sexy women in Pantyhose, skin tight Spandex, Tights, Leggings, Unitards, Catsuit, BodyStockings, Gloves, Masks and sexy seductive Role Playing Peril! Go to https://www.deviantart.com/darkshadevillain for more!
You're welcome.
Anyone who lives remotely close to the Pittsburgh region will have FOUR chances to meet Poderosa in April!
On Sat Apr 6, Poderosa will be coming with Heroineburgh and The Edge to a new event called "CollectiCon" at the West View Banquet Hall
in West View PA (a nearby suburb of Pittsburgh). It's a big gathering of collectible fanatics, so our comics should stand out, especially if Poderosa
signs them!
Then on Sat Apr 20, we're doing another unique kind of event: a journey to the far northern suburbs of Pittsburgh in what we're calling the
"Heroes of the Realm" tour! (if this one goes well, we'll do other jaunts later in the year to the south, east and west)
Poderosa will join Heroineburgh, The Edge, Beowulf and Theme of Thieves (the Comicsburgh quadrumvirate) at the following locations:
Noon to 2 pm - New Dimension Comics, Ellwood City PA
3 to 5 pm - New Dimension Comics, Butler PA
6 to 8 pm - Bell's Comics and Cards,
All of those stores already stock the Comicsburgh titles, so we'll be doing signings and meet & greets, along with Poderosa who will take photos
with fans and sign her color 8x10s for anyone who has bought all three issues of Heroineburgh.
Probably stop for munchies along the way at a Sheetz!
[Comicon season comes next in June. Can't wait!]
Oh, you're gonna be jealous now!
Not only did the music scene of Pittsburgh have a chance to see three supervillainesses from Heroineburgh play live, fronting their respective bands back on Feb 22, but now the artists of Pittsburgh are going to have a chance to meet and draw one of Heroineburgh's most seductive characters:
the slinky spandexed super-thief, Sintilla! (played by the amazing Alicia)
If you're in the Western PA region, come down to Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School Pittsburgh (it's the local franchise of a national art phenomenon)
which takes place 6 to 11 pm on Friday March 29 at the Thrive on Health spa, 730 Brookline Blvd in the Brookline section of Pittsburgh (same neighborhood as our buddies at Geekadrome Comics).
Sit back and drink in the gorgeous presence of Sintilla in her tight and shiny costume for a full hour as she models for a room full of artists. Who knows, we might hire one of them to contribute a pinup for our next Heroineburgh Comics issue. There will also be a social hour and live performances from some local burlesquers. Heroineburgh and the Comicsburgh crew will be in full effect vending comics, T-shirts and live-action episodes (on thumb drive!).
Can you draw the sexy Sintilla as good as DC Comics freelancer Jason Wright (art seen below)? Come on down and find out!
And don't feel guilty if you wind up mesmerized by our characters like this young man from a suburb outside of Detroit. He bought all three issues
from his local comic shop, and sent us this nice letter yesterday via Instagram. You've merely given in to your desires!

So, we had a relatively good time at CollectiCon in West View PA today. Probably as best as can be expected at a convention/fair where the emphasis was almost entirely on collectibles and not on comics. Out of more than 60 vendors there, we were really the only ones selling our own independent comics.
But I wanted to see if we could stand out and make an impression on an audience which obviously enjoys collecting items of pop culture but maybe doesn't have a whole lot of experience buying and reading comics (or maybe they stopped long ago in favor of collecting cards, action figures and Funko Pops).
We only sold 11 comics total at this event, and our tablemate Marvin (of The Edge) did just about as well. However, we did get to spend an entire day with the incredibly lovely Christina as Poderosa, and her interaction with all of the attendees was just amazing. She's a really good saleswoman, and she is the reason we were able to sell any books at all!
Plus after all is said and done, it was all worth it just to get this great video. We found a game store which was located right next to the hall where CollectiCon was being held. The owner was nice enough to allow Christina to suit up and do her hair in their auxiliary bathroom (turns out this process takes a good amount of time, as all of you ladies probably know), so we wanted to give them some love in a video. Since it was too difficult to capture the changes in lighting with our usual shoot camera, we used Christina's phone to shoot this great little clip.
She's so enthusiastic and naturally attractive in this clip, that we really need to have her do these events with us as often as possible. We can't wait to meet new fans when we bring her to HeroesCon in Charlotte NC in June. And of course I'm sure our fans are looking forward to her return to live-action in upcoming Heroineburgh Episode 24.
In the meantime, check out Poderosa at Collecticon and Game Masters!

Just came back from a fun and sexy time showcasing our comic book and live-action series along with our three fellow creators in the Comicsburgh collective.
Christina aka Poderosa started out the day at New Dimension Comics in Ellwood City. Unfortunately at this first stop, we didn't have a crowd. However, the store is very nice, and their basement back issue collection is monumentally huge!
With the wind blowing constantly, we had some great opportunities for action shots of Poderosa's cape flying about.
Here is our sexy Heroineburgh display at Ellwood City.
The second stop worked a bit better for us. At New Dimension Comics in Butler PA, there was some decent foot traffic on their Main Street for a Saturday, and customers coming in and out of the store were enticed by Poderosa to come and check out the four publishers. So, we made some decent sales (8 books in all) and she signed some photos for our new fans.
Finally, we ended up at an early evening signing at Bell's Comics and Cards in Grove City PA. Mark Bell, the owner, greeted us warmly and gave us huge display areas as well as a sumptuous banquet of pizza, wings and a fridge full of sodas.
Our new actress Sarah K, who will be portraying Dyna (Princess of Power) throughout Season 3, joined Poderosa at this final stop. Dyna not only brought a fan club of her own, but also signed photos alongside Poderosa for a bunch of new fans who picked up our entire run of comics so far.
We sold 17 books to both individual customers and the shop, bringing the day to a satisfying close.
Here's a promo clip that Dyna and Poderosa did for Youtube. They buried the hatchet long enough to promote the comics, but then went back to their epic struggle of good vs evil in the finest shiny and tight spandex and capes. That's what we do!

Our tour of the greater Pittsburgh region with the lovely Poderosa continues! And we are keeping her quite gainfully employed.
This Sunday Apr 28, we'll be at Keystone Oaks High School at a Collector's Show and cancer research benefit sponsored by 1st & Goal Collectibles (a new store in the South Hills Village) and Keystone Oaks FCCLA. The show runs 10-4 pm.
After that, on Sat May 4, Poderosa will be joined by supervillainess Dark Spectra (!!) at the Geekadrome comic shop in Brookline 1-5 pm for Free Comic Book Day, and on Sun May 19, Poderosa will join us to vend alongside fellow Comicsburgh creators at the Pittsburgh Comic Book Show at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Upper St Clair (near South Hills Village).
Then Poderosa takes a break, as we'll be featuring six other heroines and villainesses at 3 Rivers Comicon in downtown Pittsburgh on June 1-2.
But Poderosa will return to travel with us on the road to Charlotte, NC June 14-16 for Heroes Con. DJ Spider, the statuesque and sexy cosplayer who created our Dark Spectra and Ultra-Machina costumes, will also be there to meet us again for the second year in a row. We love her, and can't wait for her to 'battle' Poderosa in whatever outfit she'll be wearing this year (last year, she did Looker and Dazzler!).

Poderosa appears with Heroineburgh Comics and Videos during Free Comic Book Day at Geekadrome, a very supportive comic shop
in Brookline, from 1-4 pm on Sat May 4. Get your various free comic offerings (Heroineburgh products are for sale, of course) and take photos with Poderosa!
The Poderosa photo above, by the way, was taken at the entrance to the Collector's Show in Dormont last Sunday.
You can see the display photos of our other heroines in the background.

The stunning redheaded superheroine Arctica (Bridget) will appear with Heroineburgh and the Comicsburgh crew
at Phillipsburg Comiccon, Sat May 11 from 10 am to 4 pm at Phillipsburg High School in Phillipsburg NJ.
You are within striking distance if you live in the Lehigh Valley (PA), Philadelphia or the southern parts of New Jersey.
This Comicon has a surprisingly large amount of well-known comics creators as well.
http://www.phillipsburgcomiccon.com/
We'll have our comics for sale, photos for Arctica to autograph, and thumb drives if you'd like to pick entire seasons 1 and 2 of Heroineburgh for
a special deal. And of course you are welcome to take your photos with Arctica.
Hope to see some of the SHIP fans there - come out of the woodwork and say hi!

It's been one of the most crazy-busy periods I've ever had with involvement in Heroineburgh, since
-we did Free Comic Book Day last week
- I started editing Episode 24 (it will be finished by May 20)
- I did the lettering and editing pass for Issue 4 a couple days, and then laid out the entire Issue 4 of the comic book last night (it looks great!)
- Tomorrow afternoon I leave with Bridget (Arctica) for Philipsburg NJ (which is understand is very near the hometown of a certain SHIP progenitor)
- Next Sunday we do Pittsburgh Comic Book Show,
- Tue May 21 we shoot Custom 13, the conclusion of the Superia Trilogy written by our DeviantArt friend Brad328
and then the entire month of June weekends is taken up by Comicons.
But for the local community I decided to add an event which was easy-peasy to set up:
a live showing on Wed May 22 of the three new Season 3 episodes: 22, 23 and 24.
It's a long shot whether anyone from the Forum can attend, other than the one other Forum member in Pittsburgh that I've met in person.
But I'm putting it out there just in case.
There won't be anyone in costume - just a showing of the three new episodes in a Tea House which also offers soups and pastries.
Hopefully there will be at least ten actresses (and some actors) from the episodes watching their work, along with a significant paid audience.
Looking forward to a Sexy Superheroine Summer!

very nice pictures!!
"Remove .. my magic belt"..
Thanks so much, Villain!
Today we had a great time out at Pittsburgh Comic Book Show in the South Hills. Poderosa (the lovely Christina) made an amazing impression, helping attract comic buyers to the Comicsburgh tables. She autographed several 8x10 color photos (for anyone who bought the Issue 1-3 run) and took a bunch of cellphone photos with fans.
Some sexy posing and cape-sweeping at the front entrance of the Con, which was held in a comfortable hotel ballroom.
And here is Poderosa with the incredible Jon Engel of New Dimension Comics, who will be presenting 3 Rivers Comicon on June 1-2 at the downtown Pittsburgh convention center. We'll have copies of our brand-new Issue 4 available! (see the amazing Jason Wright cover below)
Pretty mind-blowing experience today as two of the four members of Comicsburgh (the comics creator group in which Heroineburgh is a member, but I don't like to show my face) were interviewed on the Pittsburgh CBS affiliate KDKA's 'Pittsburgh Today Live' morning show as promotion for the upcoming 3 Rivers Comicon this weekend, and the panel we are presenting there called "Script to Store" (how to make and market a comic book).
DP (Theme of Thieves) and Marvin (The Edge) talked out the steps in creating a comic book and getting it into the shops. Heroineburgh Comics was featured on the comic shop rack which was part of our in-studio display, and we were also represented on the graphic screen behind the hosts. They also showed a clip of Heroineburgh Comics being delivered to our local comic shop. The show hosts are Heather Abraham and David Highfield, and they are very well-known and popular here. Probably thousands of viewers in the Southwestern PA region saw this broadcast live.
Who Run Comictown? Heh, just kidding. But it was a great feeling. Hopefully it will translate into more attention at the Comicon!
Meanwhile, we're still all about sexy superheroines and villainesses, right? So....
Arctica is a fiery powerful redhead with ice powers and bright blue lips, who enjoys the fit of the tight silver spandex outfit on her shapely form, and is also passionate about her desire for other superheroines (currently she is developing a relationship with Fianna, and in Episode 24, they will *talk* about stripping each other's costumes off). She will be at 3 Rivers Comicon on Saturday along with fellow heroine Frija, and the villainesses Dyna and Dark Spectra.
Meanwhile, Chlorina is a sexy, buxom supervillainess in shiny turquoise spandex, who is giving you a come-hither look with her lovely red lips to entice you into supporting her evil schemes, or be rendered unconscious by her toxic chlorinated gas! She'll be joined at 3 Rivers Comicon on Sunday by the heroines Gardenia and Cybrina.
Time to have some fun this weekend, and sell some comics!

Day 1 of 3 Rivers Comicon 2024 flew by, and we did super well. Crucial to our success were the amazing heroines Arctica (Bridget) and Frija (Sarah S), and the villainesses Dark Spectra (Erika) and Dyna (Sarah K). They got into a scrap in the hallway, and it was just pure good vs evil mayhem.
See you tomorrow for Day 2 with more characters in spandex and capes, but first check out the photos below!
Hot fight in the hallway! Arctica vs Dark Spectra, and Dyna vs Frija.
Yinza, the Pittsburgh Luchador, had to break up the violence. Good man!
Individual sexy power poses from the actresses. Everyone was so great today.
Arctica, queen of the frost!
Frija, goddess of thunder!
Dark Spectra, mistress of the electromagnetic spectrum!
Dyna, princess of power!

Day 2 of 3 Rivers Comicon was nearly as sexy!
Between 11 am and 2 pm, we had a flurry of activity as more fans bought comics and got autographed photos and stickers from our two heroines (Cybrina and Gardenia) and one villainess (Chlorina). Here's some of the action and the tight spandex.
And now, onto Sci-Fi Valley Con in Altoona PA for June 7-9!

Just a man who loves powerful ladies in skintight spandex. Tight is right.
Day 1 is over at Sci-Fi Valley Con, and we have two more to go. Things started a bit slow on the Friday but we managed to sell 7 comics, and about 20 other Comicsburgh titles sold as well.
On the one hand, we had a 'face off' between the sexy redhead Arctica and her implacable criminal foe, Pagliaccia, right before they decided to call it a truce and join forces to promote Heroineburgh.
And on the other, you can see Marvin (of The Edge comic) doing his finest Vanna White impression showing off the table of Comicsburgh wares. In the left corner, we're playing Episode 22 on the laptop (it shows Vendetta fighting Pagliaccia), and on the table, you can see the cute crocheted action doll of Arctica (not for sale).
Looking forward to Saturday (and our panel at 1:30 pm) and Sunday!

Day 2 at Sci-Fi Valley Comicon. Big attendance for the Voice Actor celebrities, but not quite the sales peak we were looking for. Marvin sold 15 books, we sold 16 comics plus two T-shirts. Nonetheless, we're here in Altoona, it's a comfortable spacious booth situation with nice neighbors, and it's fun. Plus, we got a commitment from New Dimension Comics for 10 copies of Issue 4, and a couple of copies to Codex Comics, one of two comic shops near to Altoona. The "Script to Store" panel we conducted about how to create and sell comic books at 1:30 pm went really well too, with about a dozen in attendance and lots of great questions asked.
So, we're rolling along, and now looking forward to HeroesCon next weekend in Charlotte big time, because it's going to be huge! Everyone from legends like Roy Thomas, Chris Claremont, Jose Luis Garcia Lopez and John Romita Jr to many CG stalwarts like Billy Tucci, Shane Davis, Dan Fraga, Mandy Summers and Renie Strychalski will be there. We hope to see some SHIP fans down there in North Carolina next weekend.
Want more proof HeroesCon will be great? Look at their main promotional poster: Catwoman shackled with her hands behind her back in her tight spandex.. in peril!
Here are some great promo stills from Day 2 at Sci-Fi Valley Con. Sexy fight of Arctica vs Pagliaccia: pure good vs evil!
At first, everything was fine as the two powerful superwomen posed side by side.
However, you can see Pagliaccia getting antsy and resentful against Arctica as her evil side comes out!
Pagliaccia starts to threaten Arctica by preparing to attack her with deadly fear rays!
Arctica lashes out at Pagliaccia with a punch in the jaw!
Pagliaccia strikes back by putting her gloves around Arctica's neck and starting to choke her! Who will win this battle?

Final day of Sci-Fi Valley Con in Altoona, PA. Hope to see some fans at Heroes Con in Charlotte June 14-16!
Sunday started auspiciously with Arctica transforming into Quanta, queen of quantum physics, and posing at the hallway doors of the Con with Pagliaccia.
But Quanta is a mischievous sort, and couldn't resist teasing the clown princess. Pagliaccia's mood turned sour.
The spandexed superwomen took their tiff to the hallway and put up their dukes. The fight was on!
At first, Quanta thought she could defeat Pagliaccia with her vast power over the probability of the universe, and even made the princess of fear afraid.
But not for long! Pagliaccia's phobic waves defied the laws of physics, sending cowering and crying out, "Oh no! Whatever shall I do!" So evil triumphed once again at Sci-Fi Valley Con.

No...it's the same one I've been showing. She debuts it in Episode 22, which is out now.
On Day 1 of Heroes Con in Charlotte, we got a chance to re-connect with Charlotte's legendary cosplay queen DJ Spider (Suzanne Knudsen). Not only is she tall and statuesque, she also creates amazing costumes, and supplied two of them to Heroineburgh: Dark Spectra (played by Erika) is a modified Halo outfit, and Ultra-Machina (played by Yi) is an adaptation of Jocasta. At HeroesCon, Poderosa (Christina) teamed up with DJ Spider cosplaying as 'RenFair Wonder Woman'.
Minus myself (I took the photo), the Comicsburgh crew is also represented by DP, Grant, Marvin, and the lovely and vivacious Poderosa.
I spent a good amount of time on Friday networking and making sales to comic shops (although we also made many new fans).
Oh...and I also got to meet the gorgeous and creative Irene Strychalski (of the 'Renie Draws' Youtube channel and the comic book 'Fiendish') and also Shane Davis and Yanzi Lin who work constantly with Jason Wright (also our cover artist for Heroineburgh Comics). Southern hospitality was in effect!

Are you going to Terrificcon this year?
I was at FanExpo Boston last night. They held it a little earlier in a different place this year.
In two weeks I may bevgoing to Super Megafest in Natick, Mass. Sid Kraft will be there.

Wow, I hope you have a great time in Natick meeting Sid Krofft!
No, I'm sorry, we can't do Terrificon any more for the time being - the drive is just too long for one person.
So, for now, we'll have to stay mainly within a 5-hour range with one exception: our 7-hour drive to Charlotte was split between two of our four creators, and we rented a minivan to drive it. Heroes Con is extremely worth doing it. Yes, Terrificon is great (we love Mitch!) but Heroes is probably the BEST pure comic book convention in the U.S.
Here's what we did on Day 2 at Heroes:
- A lot of direct comic book sales to both new fans, and a few loyal customers coming back to buy Issue 4. Also, our friend 'Southern Cecil' wanted to be a Heroineburgh completist, so he ordered a USB drive with all of the Customs! (he already had the entire Seasons 1 and 2)
- We picked up two brand-new shops: Capitol Comics (in Raleigh NC) and Freedom Comics (in Toledo OH), and stocked Issue 4 in three more stores who already support us: Time Tunnel (Hickory NC), Rebel Base (Charlotte NC), and Epikos (Chattanooga TN).
- We attended the insanely packed Art Auction held on the 2nd Floor of the Westin Hotel as part of the Comicon (the main Saturday night event, other than much bar schmoozing). No, I didn't bid anything, I was there for a bit of networking and a lot of colorful geekdom atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Poderosa took photos with *dozens* of Con attendees, so you should see her photo scattered across the Instagram-sphere in the coming week. For example, here's one with our new fan 'Jer', who bought all four issues and got an autographed photo and some stickers.
Our favorite cosplay moment was Poderosa teaming up with Hawkgirl! One more day left to go, let's hear it for the after-church crowd on Sunday!
Oh wow! Another new store joined us today: Quasar Comics in Woodstock, GA, and we re-upped with Koop's Comics in Lawton OK as well.
A brand-new megafan named Cameron came to our table, having seen us last year. She wondered what we were about for a whole year, checking out our socials, and then came over to buy ALL THE EPISODES! She walked away with Seasons 1 and 2 (a good place to start before delving into brand-new Season 3 and all of our non-canon Customs).
We sold many more 'power packs' of comics and I actually ran out of Issue 4 near the end, so I'll be printing another 100 of Issue 4 for next weekend.
Also met up with a fellow Youtube chat moderator, Marcus Kelligrew, for the first time IRL, and he bought our books as well.
Christina, meanwhile, continued to kill it as Poderosa, striding the aisles looking gorgeous and powerful, sweeping her red cape across friend and foe alike. Here she is with Marcus.
Here is Poderosa keeping the peace with the Sith Lord and his minion.
Poderosa posed for a series of shot from professional photographer John Thrower, and we captured the action from behind the scenes.
Then we did a sexy transformation in the stairwell: TV reporter Rosa Perez is covering the event, and senses danger. She ducks into the stairwell and quickly slips on her mask, releases her long beautiful hair, and touches up her rosy lipstick.
Rosa rips her professional shirt open, transforming into the mighty Poderosa...the Latina superwoman! She reveals her colorful spandex costume with its "P16" logo advertising the TV station, clinging so tightly to her gorgeous, shapely body.
Tossing the blouse away, she bounds up the steps in her shiny red boots, turning the corner and disappearing from sight. Poderosa will confront the evildoers at the Comicon, and fight for truth and justice! (and maybe get knocked out in the process...who knows?)

Heroineburgh will be at Garden State Comic Fest in Morristown NJ June 22-23 for the 2nd straight year with the hypnotic snaky supervillainess Serpenta. We'll have four comic book issues and all our episodes for sale, as well as stickers and autographed photos from our evil sexy reptilian goddess.
Quite appropriately, you can find us right near the entrance of Villains Hall at booth 204, and we'll be stocked with all of the titles from Comicsburgh. Hope to see you there!

Hey! If you've never heard my voice before, you're about to hear it now.
I'm talking about Heroineburgh with a 'Grammer by the name of JG Collects. Poderosa is also featured speaking about her role and character.
This was taped at Collecticon, a smaller toy and comic show event from a few months ago in West View, PA.
And now, for the up-to-date news from North Jersey.
Our first of two days at Garden State Comic Fest went well. We sold eight of the $20 Heroineburgh "Power Packs" (issues 1-4 plus four stickers and a signed photo from Serpenta). I sold 9 of the Comicsburgh titles as well.
Serpenta (Jessica B) got a lot of attention, and I do mean A LOT. Multiple photographers stopped to take entire photo sessions with her. She did eight signed photos. And I also got a couple of nice photos and a clip (see below). As far as cosplay goes, there were a handful of really hot ones (Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Starlight) and they did attention, but I think Serpenta stood out because she was original and people wanted to know who she was!
Serpenta near the beginning of the day at our booth! As you can see, we are literally inside the ice rink in the "Villains Hall". It wasn't that cold, however, and we did fine.
Serpenta by the entrance to the Villains Rink. Very alluring in that costume, enticing you to buy the comics!
Her shoot with the Jedi Master. Note the amazing green lighting from the light saber. It really suits her costume.
A message from Serpenta to pick up Episode 23 (where she battles Savanna and Lunessa) and the new Heroineburgh Comics Issue 4 (where she joins up with Mesmera to whup the asses of Gardenia and Zinnia).
If you're anywhere near North Jersey, we hope to see you on Day 2 of GSCF!

I really wish Deirdre Hall and Judy Strangis would be there.
I’m hoping Kroft’s presence would mean cosplayers doing Electra Woman and Dyna Girl but I’m not too optimistic.
Has anyone ever seen an Electra Woman and Dyna Girl cosplay anywhere?
I was there Saturday. Must have missed you all. It was so hot in the Convention space. People were going over to the ice rink side just to cool down. Was a hot day in Jersey. Fabian Nicieza had the longest line. I was there to get my Detective Comics CGC witnessed signed by Graham Nolan (his only convention of 2024). This was kind of an emotional Con for me. Not sure if you saw Bob Wiacek at the Con. Bob has glaucoma. It was so sad to see him like this. I grew up on his artwork, some of the best out there. Bob did the Incredible Hulk 340 cover with Todd McFarlane. It almost brought me to tears but his son was there to assist him in signing things. You guys should check out Rhode Island Comic con.

Ahhh Jersey, my old stomping grounds!
Like Judah said, I heard it was blazing out there this weekend.

Hi Judah - Not sure how you missed us. We were in the ice rink side (the Villains Rink) cool as cucumbers on Saturday and everything was great.MightyHypnotic wrote: ↑4 months agoAhhh Jersey, my old stomping grounds!

Then today it cooled down to 70 outside and we were a little more chilly inside, but it was still fine.
Yes, we saw Graham Nolan. Last year, I bought his Chenoo book. Great to hear you got him to sign your Detective Comics! He was set up next to EVS, Andy Smith, and Dan Fraga. I couldn't spend a whole bunch of money at the Con, but I did get a $10 Cyberfrog toy from EVS for my friend Marvin who collects action figures, and Ethan signed the box. Ethan's colorist for Fearsome, Jason Wright, is also a good friend of mine and cover artist for Heroineburgh, so I gave EVS our four-issue run.
The only other item I bought at the Con was "Djinn Hunter", a cool book from Black Box Comics - their CEO Demetrios was our next door neighbor to our booth, and we know him from many previous Cons. Djinn Hunter is about a sexy female jinn (or...a 'jinniyya', which is also the name of our Arabic superwoman character in Heroineburgh!) who has to hunt down an evil dark force, and she also has a very hot lesbian love affair with a scantily clad sorceress. If you're into Zenescope books, you'll probably dig it - the interior art is gorgeous all the way through.
No, I didn't see Wiacek, sorry I missed that. That's cool that you made that emotional connection. Maybe we will get a chance to talk with him
at Hershey Con next week, where he is also one of the featured guests.
As for Rhode Island Con, we simply CANNOT drive that far. Driving twice to Terrificon for 8.5 hours in CT (and once to Northeast Con near Boston for 9.5 hours) broke our drivers, it was just too much of a hike. (Even to get to Charlotte last weekend, we had to have three alternating drivers to cover the 7 hours each way..but Heroes is huge and so worth it.)
In general, we'll need to stick to drives which are 5 1/2 hours and under, except for Heroes. That allows us to hit New Jersey and Maryland and Ohio for example. Maybe someday we'll get back to Terrificon if we can organize the same kind of three-driver collaboration. So...I think the closest I will be to you later this year will be Big Apple Xmas Con in NYC on Nov 23, if you can make that! (I take the bus, and sleep on the way)
Later on that night, we attended Graham Nolan's Hawaiian Shirt party at a hotel in Parsippany. Inside, the GSCF owner was holding a staff party for their employees with pasta and wings. Outside on the patio in a slight drizzle, there were about 50 people hanging out drinking PBR who are fans of the "Brofessionals" Youtube channels. I was able to put about ten names to screen handles that I'd never met in person before (only in the chats), and I also met John's Longbox (John Bua) in person for the first time - he did a feature on Heroineburgh last year on his Youtube channel.
On the sales side, we sold a bunch more Power Packs and quite a few of the other Comicsburgh titles. Serpenta (Jess B) was kept extremely busy as several cosplay photographers took her aside for photo sessions, and people kept stopping to take her photo in the aisles. Jess did an amazing job for us this year!
The massive Spawn puts Serpenta in peril! Can she break free in time to sell more copies of Heroineburgh Comics Issue 4?
It's not easy green *and* evil, but Serpenta pulls it off with both Riddler and Shego in the finest tight spandex.
Serpenta strikes low, while She-Hulk gets ready to smash with her formidable guns.
Next week, for all of our Central PA fans, we're going to be at Hershey Comicon in Hershey PA with our electric heroine Cybrina in her tight blue catsuit and shocking blue hair. It's going to be full of chocolatey goodness!
Are you in Central PA? Here's our official invitation to you to come meet Heroineburgh and Comicsburgh, and all the other creators, vendors and cosplayers at Hershey Comicon. Cybrina (Heather), the queen of cyberspace, will be there to greet you in her tight electric catsuit. Get your photo taken with her, and grab a stack of Heroineburgh Comics!
Two days of Hershey Comic Con are in the books!
Cybrina (Heather) helped us sell lots of "power packs" of Issues 1-4 on Day 1. We added one new store - the brand-new Comic Cove in State College!
And we re-upped with Issue 4 at stores in Lebanon and Hanover.
And on Day 2, Cybrina teamed up with Cloak and Dagger (see below) as well as Bronze Age Batgirl, and she struck a pose in the panel room.
Who is Bronze Age Batgirl, you ask? Most likely, it is very relevant to your interests. You see, DC Comics brought Adam West and Burt Ward back out to tour around the country promoting Batman and Robin. People were asking where Batgirl was, so DC hired a 20-year-old from North Carolina named Karen Whitfield to play Batgirl, wearing the Bronze Age black-and-yellow costume (rather than the purple one from the TV show), and sne went on tour with West and Ward from 1978 to 1985.
Apparently, Yvonne Craig wasn't interested in doing the publicity tours - she was already in her 40s and didn't feel up to it. According to Karen, she got a chance to speak with Yvonne and get some tips on how to portray Batgirl (mainly suggestions on having fun with the role and not taking it too seriously). Karen told me that West and Ward were perfect gentlemen and protective of her on the road, helping her break into the business.
After the touring ceased, Karen decided to return to NC to raise her kids. Nobody heard a peep from her until 2018, when she started to write a bok about her experiences called "Batdriven West". Which you can get on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/Batdriven-West-K ... 1708235809
Karen told me that Jim Lee himself signed the contract that brought her back to DC, and she is currently touring around promoting her book and receiving a stipend from DC to do it. She is wearing a new cowl, but the costume she is wearing is one of two versions that she took on the road. Even in her late 60s, she still looks great in it.
It was really an honor to meet her, and I have to say, I teared up with joy at hearing her incredible stories with the Dynamic Duo.

Bridget (Arctica) will be with us. Watch us live, or on the flip. Thanks!

Yes, of course. Episode 24 (Season 3 Episode 3) has been done for a while, and will be released next month following our imminent release of Customs 13-15 (my webmaster has all the materials needed to launch the customs, it just takes him a while).
And, of course, our fourth comic book issue has been out for about a month and we're still promoting that, plus continuing to work the Comicons
(we have three booth vending opportunities in August, and three in November).
The above posts are from our first Episode 25 shoot (Season Episode 4) and we'll be working on that through Aug and Sept. It will take three more shoots to complete Episode 25.
Thanks for your patience and for being a loyal fan, Clyde!
Today, we got busy being action-packed and sexy at the 2nd annual Comicsburgh Day at legendary local comic shop Phantom of the Attic in Oakland (the university section of town where University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon are located).
Our cover artist Jason Wright (who is also a frequent colorist for DC Comics, and works for both EVS and Shane Davis on their crowdfund books)
hung out with us for the entire time, and we ate chouquettes, chocolate chip cookies and poke bowls while waiting for various fans and curious customers to come up to the table to check us out.
Here's Jason flanked by the two superheroines Vigilanta (Elizabeth) and Vendetta (Diana).
Vigilanta and Vendetta took plenty of publicity photos and very much enjoyed showing off their beautiful and tight costumes.
While we were there, we took advantage of a lull in the action to film a short transformation clip for Vendetta in the back stockroom where she applies her bright red lipstick, slips on her mask, and rips open her blouse to reveal her costume. This clip will eventually appear in an upcoming episode (possibly EP25 later this year).
Diana also took some nice posed shots as Vendetta: both determined to leap into action, and cowering in peril. As we've already seen by her excellent work portraying the non-canon character Superia in Customs 11-13, Diana is versatile and a great actress - she can do it all!
Here's our promo clip!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KYAgb41JgFE
Our next live appearance will be at the "Eddie P Con", a memorial event by the Piskor family for the late great Pittsburgh-based creator Eddie Piskor. Our superheroine Poderosa will be there, along with Piskor's lifelong friends Jim Rugg and Tom Scioli, and many other regional creators paying tribute to Piskor's legacy. If you're a fan, maybe you'll want to make the trip to the West Mifflin fire hall!

Does anyone else have a problem with this guy and his site? I purchased a video from him two days ago and I have yet to receive a download link.
I've e-mailed him twice and tried to contact him via his website. No response.
Am I the only one with this issue?

Hello 'Clyde'. You are now talking to 'this guy'. I get some contact emails to the website that I do not respond to because they are frantic 'WHERE IS MY DOWNLOAD!' emails jumping the gun. Our normal process is that we send the link out within 24-48 hours. We never fail to do that, as long as we are provided with an email address which the customer checks regularly.
We strive ceaselessly to fulfill every order, and we appreciate every customer's support. However, on rare occasions, customers give us an email address on their Paypal order which they do not check regularly (so, essentially our download link email goes into a neglected account or spam box).
So, if you have not received a download link for your order as of today (Aug 12) from an order that you placed on Aug 8 or 9, then simply send me a contact form through the website, but this time PLEASE INDICATE that you are the poster 'clyde' from SHF, as well as stating your real name on the order, and include the exact email address you want to link sent to.
I will be happy to respond and fulfill it within 24 hours. Then I'll know that the problem is resolved.
(Or maybe it already has been?)
Thanks so much!

The Eddie Piskor Con was so great. I wish Eddie P was still alive to see the power of his fanbase. We promised in his honor to 'make more comics'.
Here are some lovely shots of Poderosa getting busy at the Con. She posed for a lot of photos!
Poderosa flies in for a superhero landing!
An unlikely team up between Poderosa and Ed Piskor's sadistic torture villainess Mistress Pentagram from his Red Room Comics. You are unlikely to see this very specific cosplay again anytime soon, so I felt it needed to be documented.
Poderosa struggles against semipro wrestler QB Blitzz!
Poderosa on a smoke break outside the venue. So sexy and sultry in black and white, it's like a comic book panel from Frank Miller's Sin City!
Our next live event is Sat Sep 14 at Salem Toy & Comic Expo right across the border in Ohio. The alluring and diabolical Chlorina goes up against mighty Hercules aka Kevin Sorbo himself - will he fall before her toxic powers? If you live in Northeast Ohio or Western PA it's just a hop, skip and jump to Salem (the next town over from East Palestine where the train accident occurred). Come get Chlorina's autograph on a comic book or 8x10 photo and get your picture taken with her!

Moments with toxic temptress Chlorina (Jessica Z) at the Salem Toy and Comic Expo today.
Sold five "power packs" (issues 1-4 plus extra goodies) and a few single issues as well.
Chlorina lures unsuspecting victims to their doom? Or just to buy some comics.
A curvy blonde bombshell in a tight and shiny spandex costume? Yup.
She couldn't resist the lure of the evil team-up! Black Cat and Kraven the Hunter are married (at least, in this universe!) and run a pop-culture toy store. Now that would be an interesting series for Netflix.
Kevin Sorbo also exists.
Chlorina reports from Salem Ohio. We'll be back in Ohio on Nov 9-10 with Devana the Huntress for Akron Comicon!

Arctica (the lovely redheaded Bridget) appeared from 1-6 pm yesterday at New Dimensions Comics Waterfront (Homestead PA) for Local Comic Shop Day!
Our whole Comicsburgh crew was there (four local publishers, including myself). We all did well (for example, I sold 12 books) and Arctica also appeared on a livestream which my fellow comic publisher Marvin ran from about 2:30 to 4 pm.
Here's our promo for Arctica and the New Dimensions store, right in front of the huge graphic novel wall.

Next up for Heroineburgh are three Comicons and one Book Fest in November!
- Nov 9-10 Akron Comicon (Cuyahoga Falls, OH) meet Devana the Huntress! (our gorgeous actress Casey W)
- Nov 12 Jewish Book Festival (Squirrel Hill, Pittsburgh PA) meet Gardenia, Mistress of the Plant World! (the lovely Laura)
- Nov 16 DuBois SuperCon (DuBois, PA) meet Poderosa, the Latina superwoman! (the amazing sultry Christina)
- Nov 23 Big Apple Comicon (NYC, NY) we'll be at the New Yorker Hotel. no heroines, sorry. guest of honor Howard Chaykin! https://bigapplecc.com/

Hey!
We are suddenly going apeshit in November with more events than ever before. That's just how things worked out.
Gonna start with a Customfest on Nov 7, showing 11 customs at an arthouse in downtown Pgh called Harris Theater. It's a great place - Negativland just played there live! [Rated R. Unlike with our regular season episodes which are all PG-13, things get sexy in a few of these customs.]
Then we are moving on to Akron Comicon on Nov 9-10 with Devana; Pittsburgh Jewish Book Fest on Nov 12 with Gardenia; DuBois PA Supercon with Poderosa on Nov 16; and finishing out the year at Big Apple Comic Con on Nov 23 at the famous New Yorker Hotel in Manhattan for our fourth straight year there! If you are nearby any of these events, come and 'assemble' with us!

If you haven't met our actress Casey W, you should. She's gorgeous, smart and creative, and makes her own unique pop culture items to sell at Comicons.
She's also the sexy Serbian brunette Devana the Huntress, fighting for justice with her combat skill and her mighty bo staff.
You'll find her on Nov 9-10 at Emidio's Event Center in Cuyahoga Falls, OH for the annual Akron Comicon, always packed with creators and fans from all over Northeast Ohio.
Skibidi toilet Ohio rizz? No cap. Get her autographed photo and take a selfie!

Our loyal fans Art, Antoine and Nathan kept their souvenir programs at the end of the Heroineburgh Customfest, posing in front of the Comicsburgh table. And check out the golden marquee on the front!
Hope to see some folks at Akron Comicon this weekend, with the lovely Devana the Huntress!

Devana the Huntress (Casey W) has been so stunningly gorgeous so far at Akron Comicon, signing her 8x10 photos, taking selfies with new fans, and crossing over to the booth of Pittsburgh indie legend Don Simpson (creator of Megaton Man), who drew her likeness on the back of Heroineburgh Comics issue 3.
We're at Emidio's Event Center in Cuyahoga Falls for one more day, so stop by and say hi if you're in Northeast Ohio!
