The new Star Wars movie is going to feature Rey Sue as the main character.

And the director has a major case of Misandry.

Andor still a thing. Ergo Star Wars is objectively better than it's ever been.

Plus we tried having a dude who wanted to make the fanbase happy making the movies and it fucking stank. Go in the opposite direction.

'Somehow Palpatine returned' still the low point of the franchise, and that's a tall order given how shit the prequels were. Time to change up.

Hire new actors and do the Thrawn Trilogy but with Luke Leia and Han and for the Kathleen Kennedy fans(the 2 or 3) you have Mara Jade who all the fans love anyway

See this is almost like addictive behaviour. We know that going back to the old stuff is bad, it makes for bad shows, it doesn't make people happy. We know this and have seen it over and over, but people still ask for it. The old stories, the old characters, we know they are good, but they are a poison chalice to a creator. Nothing they produce is good. Folks wish for these shows and a thousand cursed monkey paws with a thousand typewriters get to work.

When did The Mandalorian stop being good? When it became nothing but references and fan service. That first season with the little dude who said, "I have spoken" and the Baby Yoda and the weird cult of Mandalorians was the best one. When it became a bunch of Wookiepedia articles come to life it was tedious.

Why was Book of Boba Fett bad? Because it was nothing but references and fan service. Why was Solo bad? Same deal. I mean the Book of Boba Fett was literally a joke on Parks and Rec turned into a TV show.

Andor is good too, because it's grown beyond Rogue One. Because where Rogue One was carrying a lot of references and fan service, Andor is a lean new show with new characters doing awesome new stuff.

Other Star Wars material is typically better when it's fresh. Videogames with new characters for example. The old stuff sells, but it never lives up to what to the stories it was born out of.

If Disney want to make stuff that is actually good, and I think they do as evidenced by Andor and as evidenced by the fact they've tried making shit and it just didn't take with audiences, then they'll make new stuff. And franky Rey based stuff could be good, because even though she's now an established character there's not that much to her so there's lots of scope for her to develop into a character.
