Not sure if this is the right place for this, but saw this show up in my Youtube feed, goes into a brief history of a bunch of tokusatsu heroine works. Doesn't handle the more erotic stuff, but not very judgmental of it either. I thought it was an interesting watch.

one o the rare occasions where the porn exceeds the source material... The Giga movies have better production values than the originals.

Porn has always had an organized crime component, I assumed that was true. I did notice that they used some of the same locations for the out door fights.ThatOnePervert wrote: ↑1 month agoWell from what I've heard Giga has Yakuza money so that's not super surprising.

Back in the 80s and 90s, porn production company were mostly front for money laundering scheme for OC, because it is usually cash dominated and it is somewhat in between legal/illegal business (making porn IIRC is illegal back in the US in the 80s, and is STILL ILLEGAL in Australia)sneakly wrote: ↑1 month agoPorn has always had an organized crime component, I assumed that was true. Most of these production company either are backed by OCG (Organised Crime Group) or involved with them one way or another. And that is the period when all those actresses being forced/drugged to perform porn scene to pay off debt etc we all heard from.
Porn Industires have been moving into a more mainstream position is US and Europe. Most porn producer now are just a media producer and less OC involved since they are decriminalised. It's still a taboo here in Australia, and it's still semi-illegal to make porn here, and the group that control the porno scene here are either Russian Mafia or some OC from Middle East.
