Pleased to announce that the third issue of Heroineburgh Comics is now available worldwide.
If you've checked out the continuous thread on its development, you'll see how we've been working on this one for about a year.

As usual, we are following in the glorious footsteps of the likes of Bill Black's Fem Force, George Perez's Sisterhood of Superheroines, and Roger Corman's Black Scorpion. And of course, all the lovely heroines in spandex you remember from your Bronze Age comic book collection.

It has another stunning and dynamic cover from DC comics colorist extraordinaire Jason Wright (currently working on the Young Justice mini-series,
and just finished coloring the 'Inglorious Rex' crowdfunded comic for the famed Shane Davis). And inside, you'll find the fantastic interior art of both Benjamin Zeus Barnett (1st story) and Wayne Brown (2nd story). The back cover includes pinups by Marcel Walker, Jamie Apgar, and the legendary
indie comics legend Don Simpson (Megaton Man/Bizarre Heroes). All talent is from Pittsburgh, PA!

What will you find inside?

Page 2, as usual, offers a series origin story, as well as character profiles for all the heroines and villainesses in the issue.

The first story, "In the Clutches of Chlorina" sees both superheroine Savanna and her evil sister Panthyra captured by the toxic supervillainess Chlorina for use in her diabolical cloning experiments...will Frija and Fianna come to their aid in time? In addition, we see Fenneca the Silver Fox robbing one of Frija's gyms while she's on the case, but Cybrina and Indarra respond to the alarm. Will they be able to apprehend the foxy super-thief? (This story includes a very sexy Milo Manara tribute panel that you will enjoy!)

The second story "Mayhem in Oakland" finds Devorra the Queen Bee teaming up with Drake and Vaporia of the evil Black Faction. Not only does Devorra need the money, but she also loves to be in control of as many people as possible with her mind-altering pollen. Using the Black Faction's equipment, she pumps her pollen into the auditorium in the middle of a Pittsburgh Panthers basketball game, and mayhem ensues when she commands the crowd to destroy Oakland - the college area of Pittsburgh...can the combined forces of Poderosa, Devana and Gardenia stop her plan to spread chaos and destruction? Meanwhile, Drake and Vaporia use Crainiac's brilliant nanotech device to attack X-Machina and Cybrina..creating an evil inhuman force beyond their wildest expectations. What is it, and how will it threaten the Heroine League?

And then finally, the inside cover gives you a preview of what to expect from Episode 21, the Season 2 finale of the live-action Heroineburgh series. We've got cast photos of both the heroines and the villainesses, and a few other action shots of other characters. And fan art of Poderosa from our buddy Leandro!

All of that, plus a random Heroineburgh character sticker (one of ten possible designs) inside the comic...for only $5 at conventions, $6-$7 in comic shops, or $10 anywhere in the United States postpaid ($20 to other countries).

It's a win/win situation! So far we've got the comic available at the following stores in Pittsburgh: Phantom of the Attic (Oakland), all New Dimension Comics locations, K&J Comics (West View), Maude's Paperwing Gallery (Millvale), Copacetic (Polish Hill), Bill & Walt's (Downtown), Heroes Ink (Robinson), and Geekadrome (Brookline). Plus the first store to get it outside of Pittsburgh: Nerdtopia in Hanover, PA (where the snacks are made!).

Many more stores to be stocked around the city, and around North America, in the next couple months.
But if you don't want to wait for it to show up at a store near you, just order it right here! http://www.heroineburgh.com/comic-book-three/
You can also pick up Issues #1 and #2 if you don't have them yet - in fact, order back issues and I'll put a *special extra gift* in your package!

The "Comicsburgh" collective is making a special appearance on Sat Oct 1 for Buy Indie Comics Day.
(Yes, that's a thing! It has a Facebook page and a hashtag. https://www.facebook.com/BuyIndieComicsDay/ )

Heroineburgh will be at New Dimension Comics, Pittsburgh Mills in Tarentum, PA, a suburb 1/2 hour northeast of the 'Burgh.
We'll be joined by Marvin Wynn (The Edge), Grant Lankard (Beowulf / Memoirs of the Morbid), Isaac Fisher (Incubator Productions)
and Dawg Pound Brown (Theme of Thieves). It's an afternoon to support Pittsburgh (and Cleveland) indie creators!

Check us out there from 1 to 5 pm this Saturday, if you can make it to the area. Here's the website announcement:

Also, happy to report that thanks to a great local marketing campaign by our new actress Jessica Z (who will play supervillainess Chlorina in Season 3),
we have sold out of the first batch of Heroineburgh Comics #3 at Phantom of the Attic Oakland and will be bringing them more. One of Jessica's friends (Ryan O'Laughlin) has added to the great stash of Heroineburgh fan art by drawing her as Chlorina. Ryan claims he's inspired by Jack Kirby. We'll be posting his art on the Heroineburgh website's fan art page pretty soon.

Chlorina's voluptous figure belies her sinister intentions!
