I saw the Godfather for the first time about 10 years ago and I loved Caan's reckless and impulsive Sonny Corleone. Caan's turn as Paul in Misery was awesome as well.
Quality actor. Could convey a hell of a lot with expression and do away with the need for dialogue.
Great as the kid who couldn't shoot in El Dorado with John Wayne, even better as the Mafioso 40 years later who could shoot with Bernicio Del Toro in Way of the Gun

How strange are the ways of the gods ...........and how cruel.

If you folks have never seen “Thief”, you have missed something. He is incredible in it.
That scene in the cantina in El Dorado with John Wayne and Christopher George where Caan faced a hired gun and kills him with the knife, is one of the best western moments
