Re: New Phoenix Filmworks' Powercat
Is there any way we can get some kind of collective thing going to see if we can revive these movies on here?
I used to have a huge collection with everything but the Dark Fury movie.
Let's see if we can get this clips on here. I can start with the Black Talon movie

I have heard people talk about his ego before but he was always super nice to me and very supportive of my writing! We talking about doing something together, he offered to buy the last script I wrote! Unfortunately from my understanding the piracy was really killing him! I even have one of the Retrogirl costumes!

Where did you find the Retrogirl costume? Was he selling costumes and props on EBay?

Re: New Phoenix Filmworks' Powercat
There was a dvd that featured a batgirl looking character in a grey shiny unitard. I dont know if it was kacie carlsson or someone else. I think it also had some girls modeling in swimsuits. I cant remember the name of it i had it then misplaced when i moved. I know it wasnt part of the retrogirl or darkfury series.

Kacie Karlsson had one of the best bodies I have ever seen, Would love to know what she is doing these days, she should get back into the genre
Re: New Phoenix Filmworks' Powercat
I used to talk to Andy often! I had written some stuff for him through the years, he finally said yes he was going to film one! Never happened cause he decided to stop doing them! Anyway he offered me one of the Retrogirl costumes for I think $100! To be honest I was thrilled to get one!djhooker85 wrote: ↑5 years agoWhere did you find the Retrogirl costume? I've watched the first Dark Fury, first Black Talon, Retrogirl 4 and Black Mask Night Bait. Does anyone know if and where the Newphx films can be purchased?
I'd like to check out more of Andy's work.

Powercat was an awesome character and there was a solid storyline behind the series of films. Wish someone would bring the character back

Agreed. I didn't realize the actresses were local students. It's a shame the site shut down. I can't find the films anywhere.MutantFiend wrote: ↑5 years agoOh yeah, curves in all the right places.xxxwarriorxxx wrote: ↑5 years ago Kacie Karlsson had one of the best bodies I have ever seen, Would love to know what she is doing these days, she should get back into the genre![]()

Re: New Phoenix Filmworks' Powercat
I didn't know how much I like Newphx until they were gone. There isn't really a producer making these kind of movies anymore: it's either porn or karate. I still have a few of them kicking around on the hard drive.
What I'm wondering, though, is if anyone has the original trailer for "Retrogirl 4." I have the film, but for some reason, it's the trailer I've always really liked, and I can't find it anymore. There were clips in it that weren't in "Retrogirl 4": of RG being carried by two men, and of RG tied to a pole, struggling. I once emailed Andy Rodriguez to ask him why those weren't part of the film, and he said they were actually on the Supermodels DVD. Which is horrible false advertisting, but it's hard to be bitter, now.

Hello, I had seen some questions about the Powercat films. I have a number of them on DVD and would like to sell them. They are:
Powercat: Fully Charged
Black Talon: Broken Mirror
Darkfury 3
Powercat 3.5: Overload
Powercat: Imposter
Leave a reply if interested.

Re: New Phoenix Filmworks' Powercat
Does anyone happen to have Dark Fury in any capacity?
I would really like to acquire this video from someone. I'm at my wits end trying to find someone that might or might not have it. I have videos I can trade up from the more popular studios. I am willing to trade if necessary to get this one video.
Please PM me if you have it.

Sorry if I brought up the old thread. I wasn't very active back 2 years ago so I didn't notice this thread is going on. New Phoenix is also one of my favourite, and it had given me quite a lot of idea.
I am actually in the process to resurrect some old Idea, and NPW Power Cat is one of the idea I have in mind, (if anyone want to know, the other one I have in mind is Dyna Girl and Eleckra Women) I love the retro idea and I am currently trying to build my own Power Cat Costume and finding actress that are willing to swim in costume (Should not be very hard, well, I live in Australia, everyone swim...)
I am planning to put it into production late this year, probably in October when we have a more moderate weather (Can't do it now because it is too cold) You guys can check back here if you want to see how it turns out.
Thanks
Ava

Was strolling here for some reason when I stumbled upon your message here. If you really are planning on bringing back Powercat, that would be sensational to see make a comeback. Even if the costume is similar to what we've seen before, I think one thing you have to do is really take that peril scene from Powercat 2 in a very extended way. That scene....to this day, I feel, is still one of the best scenes of peril anyone has made in the genre. I have not been able to find anything close that really shows the desperation that she's going through being tied up, punched around by the three henchmen...ugh. I could talk about that scene for hours lol.
Anyways, good luck on your venture man. I really hope it works out.

Thanks for the support, I really love the idea of powercat, and I would love to resurrect at least some interest out of it, well, if it turns out to be a hit, I may actually resurrect the whole series with new actress and new villain or I will just simply intergrade the concept into our own universe.
On the other hand, I don't have a copy of Power Cat 2 (I had all the chapter when it comes out, but I only have Power Cat 3 in my hard drive, for some reason, this is the only file that survive years of disc formatting... and I cannot buy them anywhere anymore) I am not too sure which scene you are talking about, can you do a quick description on the scene so to jog my memory?
Thanks
Ava

It would be magnificent to see the resurrection of PowerCat and the whole New Phoenix Filmworks series, in your own style and direction. With new hot actresses dressed in similar beautiful costumes, and even the gorgeous 70's Dyna Girl and Electra Woman costumes. Superheroine peril fans would definitely get interested to buy quality movies like this.
My favourite New Phoenix Filmworks movie is "Powercat 3.5 OVERLOAD." The special effects are fabulous as PowerCat blasts the thugs' car around with her electrical superpowers. The peril action with the brilliant set locations rock! Her costume looks excellent! "Black Mask-Night Bait" and "Black Talon-Broken Mirror," are pretty awesome movies too with great fight and peril action. All the best with your endeavors!

Re: New Phoenix Filmworks' Powercat
I can't believe some of these videos are almost sixteen years old in some cases. They still feel as vital as ever I think. All the videos had their charms, but I think that it was with the Supermodels series (1,2,3) that really captured the spirit of why people loved them. All that sensual modeling that dovetailed into soft-core bondage. What an insane combination.

The storylines were pretty insane....but damn...he found some sexy chicks and put them into good costumes.
And quite some of his heroines had real nice cowls, and he included some decent unmaskings!
Still watch some of his videos from time to time (Powercat)...

Does anyone know where to purchase the one where there are two PowerCats and one chloroforms the other? I think it was Overload or Fully charged? There used to be a picture of the scene but I can no longer find it to reference which movie it was.

There is a YouTube channel that has the first two Retrogirl episodes, some bloopers from the first three and the second Dark Fury video.
Not sure how long it will be around, what with copyright issues and stuff..

Man, this topic is juicy!!
Sadly, I could only get a glimpse of a short excerpt of “Black Mask Night bait”, but these Powercat films sound like the deal!!!
Wish I could get a hand on any trails; I’m already hooked!.

Re: New Phoenix Filmworks' Powercat
Does anyone know if this video ever came out? I've seen a bunch of stills, but not sure if it was ever released. It seems to be a Dr.Phear video (Powercat 4), that then became a Powercat PSM #2 called "Abducted", and then it might also have been edited into a video called "Powercats".
Apparently it was released in Japan? I mean if there is a Jamie Thornton classic out there, the people need to know about it.

Some more nostalgia for the holidays. This was Supermodels II, I believe.
Also, here are a couple more pics from that vaporware adjacent Powercat 4 video, that seems like it may or may not have even come out.

Re: New Phoenix Filmworks' Powercat
That is the million dollar question. I would gladly pay a king's ransom for some of these titles.
One film I am really curious about is the video "Batgirl: Endgame", from like 2004 I think. I heard it was included on the Supermodels I DVD, but I'm not exactly sure if that was the case.

Re: New Phoenix Filmworks' Powercat
He might, or he might not. I'm sure it's possible to ask him via Facebook if one is very polite about it. He's still active - last year he produced at least one commercial for a Phoenix restaurant, as well as four episodes of a TV show. The worst he can do is say he is longer interested in discussing it. But if he is, that could spark a renaissance of interest in New Phx, like the way the Mandi Steele-verse is being revived. I can tell you that I have personally been asked at least twice (by people who are not even on this forum, but whose interests are in adjacent 'good-girl' comic book content) if I could share Powercat videos.

Has anyone figured out a way to get these old Superheroine 1 2 and 3 DVD's?
I think it's such a tragedy that someone out there doesn't have it in some capacity. I have a fair share that I'm more than willing to share on here if need be to get a catalog going. Cause with respect to the creator, once it's unavailable, what other options do we have?
