Don't stop posting entirely. We enjoy the unique stuff quite a bit. It's the common stuff that gets a bit wearing. Gotta love your passion though.

Yeah I completely understand. I do go overboard sometimes (damn libido).
I’ll just keep it down to manips- which I really intend to do more of. My imagined Supergirl sequel that never was.

I look forward to what you come up with. Have you read Abductorenmadrid's photo manipulation of the SG movie? It's remarkable.

I've enjoyed the rarer pics and gifs. Never knew she had done the L'Oréal ad. When was that, do you know?
One thing is clear looking at all the SG pics is they did an absolutely brilliant job of dying her hair blonde in the movie it looks great and really natural.
How strange are the ways of the gods ...........and how cruel.

I am here to help one and all enjoy this site, so if you have any questions or feel you are being trolled please contact me (Hit the 'CONTACT' little speech bubble below my Avatar).

I think around the mid 90’s. They did a phenomenal job with her hair colour. I honestly thought it was two different actresses when I first saw the film.

I started my first after some trouble during installation. The "training" is the one step that really takes time. How much time you give to "Training" ? in the simple tutorial that I'm following it goes up to 70k iterations.

Keep going- at least you are learning whilst you are doing something enjoyable. But I agree it can become an arduous task after a while.

AEM (abductorenmadrid) told me he spent countless hours getting some of his frames done. He was quite the perfectionist though. I spent a fair number of hours just proofreading his word balloons/captions. But it was a labor of love as it is with you, Supergirllegend and stationk. Hopefully it's enjoyable for the most part. I'm sure it'll be fun to read when you're ready to post.

This one is slightly manipulated. It’s from Happy Together. I gave her longer hair to try and match what a Supergirl sequel would look like around the time of 1987

Barbara Crampton in From Beyond

A bit off topic, well sort of, but I just love 80's movies more than ever now. Women could actually be smart, heroic and extremely sexy (something I find that is extremely lacking in films from the 90's on. Like if a character looked like this now you'd have the woke brigade all over it. It seemed like in the 80's anything was possible. I'm also a massive horror fan so I think if there was a Supergirl sequel in the mid to late 80's it would have some of these elements. Supergirl battling a big creature made out of latex and slowly defeating her.

I also think Helen was incredibly game about playing up the sexual aspects of the Supergirl character. Another 80's trait. She was wearing a ridiculously skimpy costume but portrayed Supergirl as an extremely powerful yet gentle warrior. If that isn't sexy I don't know what is.

Many inaccuracies (Helen Slater is not related to Christian Slater) but the review was on point :giggle:

I saw this image on the net. No idea who the artist is but they did a phenomenal job. I hope they do many more. Could you imagine if they did a graphic novel sequel to the Supergirl film- or some sort of multiverse storyline but with this level of detail. I was blown away by this piece. Sadly it didn’t have the artist’s name.

Yeah, it wasn't something I could just "do". It began as a proof of concept on just one scene, then another and another. Then a pathway for an entire story appeared and so I had to try and make sure I had the imagery to back it up. Basically it was iterations of work - refining action - refining dialogue - fixing continuity - all to keep the plot aligned throughout the story - and yes, there were hundreds of man hours to the project (mine and DrD's) - I think it was worth it but I don't think I would do something quite that big again. I hope Supergirllegend will look through his own story ideas once more, even it they only come out as set piece scenes...

You know, it’s really tempting but some of my old stories are really bad. I cringe at the thought of some of them. They were written by a horny idiot.

I have so many ideas/ artworks revolving around the 1984 film out of respect for it. Just even sometimes I get glimpses in my mind of Helen’s Supergirl in different situations. Like fighting giant horrible creatures. Or even her going on a quest/ journey similar to that of the film Heavy Metal/ LOTR/ Wizard of Oz.

I’d love to see her visit another part of the phantom zone full of the worst criminals without her powers. Like taken up into a mountain fortress and tortured. But not in a sick way. Kind of like PG level shit.

I’ve had so many ideas but creating them is a different story. It can be fucking exhausting work. When you are in the zone of writing a story you become possessed by it.

Supergirllegend, you are getting overwhelmed by looking at the big picture. Concentrate on just getting one scene done in your quest idea. Maybe she runs up against a tentacled creature that you've got some pictures you can use to photoshop. Just concentrate on that scene. If you like it, then move on with a simple interim scene til the next event. Go slow. If it's good, you'll get encouragement here and that will inspire you. Go for it!

Well that was certainly the jolt of inspiration I needed. I’ll try and make a night of it tomorrow. Need a few glasses of whiskey I think to get me started.

One of the many locations/ ideas I have for a Supergirl story to be set in. I like to think this place exists in the Phantom Zone and she is captured and held here.

Haha! Big fan of Warhol. I just love messing around with these apps- you can really make some interesting stuff on them with little effort.

I found a wonderful app called WOMBO. It can turn any photo into a singing one- making it come to life. Great for getting different facial expressions.
