So I'm reading through the Burnside Batgirl comics online and something struck me this evening. So far, I've seen her ride a motor cycle and some weird bat snow car.

My question is, where the heck does she hide these things? Does Babs have her own Batcave? She must hide them some place.

You've seen how much women can get into a purse? Why can't she get the vehicles there. :)

I think it was a cave/space under there already, but does beg the question as to who installed all that tech down there.

That was one of the reasons I always preferred Tony Stark/Iron Man to Wayne/Batman when it came to the rich boy hero character. At least Stark was a world class genius and able to build things and invent things so it wasn't that out of the question he could have this cool house with all this stuff in it and his Iron Man suits, while with Wayne you're kind of left wondering how he handles all the tech stuff without that kind of background.

Hey guys

Thanks for the response, though still don't feel the question has been properly answered.

The reason for my question was for research for a Batgirl Burnside peril story. I wanted a villain to put a tracker on her bike. But I've been unable to find any reference or indication of where Babs hides it.

I'm thinking to use a lockup or something in my story

Wasn't there a scene in Harley Quinn where the Joker was screaming at some construction workers and one of them said out loud this is weirder than cave thing Bruce Wayne hired them to build under his mansion?

I have not seen the bike you speak of. If its not too gaudy it could just be a regular bike. The TV show batgirl cycle would be hard to hide. Now one idea is she rigged up a dumpster to hold the bike and the dumpster is never emptied.

Oh no the bike is pretty special, before posting my question I roamed the internet for an answer. In the process, read a lot of Burnside facts. The bike has loads of high tech stuff on it. And it's styled with bat motifs. So it would be pretty obvious.

My story was going to involve a villain tracking Babs back to her hide out and. Where a gang of thugs break in a wreck the place. As the villain is out to ruin batgirl and uncover her identity.

I like to think with her being so young hip and independant that she lives in the city in a townhome style apartment, like the tv show where her batcave is basically a closet or hidden garage in a back alley with a secret entrance, may be cool to have them capture her there and that would also out her as who she is for her captor and IF she gets free or survives and the villain escapes she would never feel safe

I had a theory about this in one of my Batgirl stories....

Barbara Gordon was just settling down on the fire escape of her cozy apartment in the fashionably run down Marina District of Gotham City. She had the third floor of the old brownstone all to herself. In any other city in the world a twenty-something librarian would never be able to afford to own her own building, much less one with such a great view of Short Island Sound. But, Babs was smart. She invested a small inheritance wisely and lived a frugal existence. That and a very soft real-estate market made her life comfortable. The collapse of Wayne Enterprises was, like most financial debacles, a tragedy for some and an opportunity for others.

I've not read all the Burnside comics thus far. But from what I can tell she flat shares, in a trendy part of Burnside.

I'm inclined to go with a lockup of some sort, but even still that's a little too exposed. So easy for someone to stumble across. I'm sure I could come up with something, just amazed it doesn't appear to have been covered in the comics. Bit sloppy in my opinion, but I like detail *shrug*

It's still a rough idea, but the story I'm going to write at some point will have batgirl getting blackmailed, stripped and unmask live on camera. The villain though let's her free, so Babs flees to her hide out. Not realising that she's been followed. A gang of thugs force their way in to her hide out, over whelming her, she's helpless as they rip the place apart, before turning their attention on her.
