I am not sure if this message should be posted in the story thread, but I didn't know where else to post this ….

It is with a heavy heart that I just want to pass along the very sad news that Centurion, the Author of the Fuchsia Fox superheroine stories, has passed away. He passed on Tuesday, December 31st in Augusta, Georgia. Services were held on January 2nd, 2020.

Although he was just an "internet" friend, Centurion (I am hesitant to reveal his real name, as he never had done so here himself) and I had been collaborating on his Fuchsia Fox stories for about five years. Although we didn't know each other in person, I considered him a friend.

After not having heard from Centurion for a few months this past Fall, I was contacted by email by his sister passing along a message from Centurion and informing me that he was suffering from congestive heart failure. I did some investigating and the message was indeed, sadly, legitimate. Today after sending him well wishes for the new year, I received the sad news from his sister that he had already passed.

Again, I don't want to share actual personal details, but I did grab this little snippet from his obituary : "He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was an avid blood donor through the Sheppard Blood Center."

He and I had been working on several more stories that were not entirely completed. I will do my best to piece the stories together from our collaborations and in time post them, trying to stay as true to his intent as possible.

C & I didn't always agree with the direction the Fox should take, but he did give me his blessing to feel free to post continuing stories, as long as I made it clear that they were my interpretations of where I wanted to see things go. In this spirit, I shall do my best to try and keep the Fuchsia Fox alive and well with continuing adventures. I know I will never measure up to Centurion's writings, but I will do my best so that the Fuchsia Fox may live on.

Centurion, you were a wonderful person and it was my honor to have shared time writing with you. You will be missed dearly. Rest in peace, Centurion.
xoxo

I am so sorry to hear this. Centurion was a great writer and contributed to the superheroine community. I don't just mean this site. I mean the entire superheroine community on the internet. This man is a legend and deserves to be called one.

Centurion was one of the best writers in this genre. He wrote his stories with passion. Me and Dr. D would spend hours if not an entire day chatting about Fucshia Fox. Hell, I think his stories are how me and Dr. D became internet friends.

I enjoyed my conversations with him, Flirty, and Dr. D. It was fun sharing ideas and interacting with someone with the same passion for superheroines in peril. He was a great guy to chat with. He truly cared about what people like about his work. He stayed true to his ideas for the genre.

It's so hard to say goodbye to someone who's imagination has filled your head with wonderful joy. Even apart from the heroine peril scenes, I always felt that Centurian created a wonderful character who came alive under his artful prose. His Fuchsia Fox character was plucky and generous and funny and sincere, aspects that a writer cannot possibly create unless he too has them in his core.

I will greatly miss his work and wonderful turns of phrase and his imagination so wonderfully realized. Rest in peace, dear sir. You will be greatly missed.

I really am devastated. Whilst I enjoyed his FF stories, his Isis piece a few years back was a favourite of mine and his Aquagirl (apologies if it was Aquawoman) is almost flawless.

Read and enjoy it (Isis) here-

He wrote with a great sense of humour and I will miss him. No one else on this board could ever get away with using 'nubbins'.

His collaboration on the big joint story a lot of us are working on is to be treasured and I will dedicate it to his memory.
He has made a fantastic contribution to story telling in this genre that will live on.

I am grateful that he contributed here and elsewhere and he wrote with a light humourous tone that I envied on occasion.

If anyone is reading this and unfamiliar with his work I urge you to read a story of his tonight.
He was a great, great guy.

I am terribly sorry to hear that we lost a talented and passionate superheroine writer who contributed a wonderful heroine character Fuchsia Fox in nearly past ten years. I started to read Fuchsia Fox fictions about five years ago and I used to send few PMs to Centurion via Flirty. The reply from Centurion made me to believe that Centurion is a man who has high attainments and achievements on superheroine writings. For me, I enjoyed to refresh the page to expect whether there is a new episode of Fuchsia Fox story posted on this site. This kind of habbit accompany me in past few years and nearly became as a part of my life. Like DrDominator9 mentioned in his post "It's so hard to say goodbye to someone who's imagination has filled your head with wonderful joy". I had suggested a story idea to Centurion and he made it became the fiction Fuchsia Fox: Synthetic Man. I want to thanks Centurion again here because his generous work made the idea in my mind turned into a complete story. Also, I miss so much the time that I send a PM to Centurion via Flirty and expect to receive the reply from both of them.

Again, it is so sad we have to say farewell to Centurion and I will miss him. Not only to thanks his excellent works that brought us into the Fuchsia Fox's adventure world, as well as his magic writings that bring us so much big-time.

This is sad news indeed. Centurion was one of the few members here that would message me out of the blue, usually to talk about the state of the genre, or discuss some of his writing and on occasion to voice his displeasure with a change he didn't agree with....

To read that he was in the military definitely makes sense now, judging by the tone of some of our conversations.

He will definitely be missed.....

Still taking it in but the thing I didnt mention last night was that he was always a tremendous encouragement to new writers starting up here when he was still able to post on the forum. There's nothing worse for a writer than posting to silence but for many years he would be the first or one of the first ones to offer a comment on any new story and whilst there might be some constructive criticism he would always try and find the positives to comment on as well. I would urge everyone to follow his example and if you read something here post a comment on the story. Us writers need encouragement and Centurion understood that

He was the first guest author on our Amazos project and as such had the unenviable task of setting the scene and conceptual tone for those that followed after the initial stages of the story, and he did it wonderfully well , striking the balance of humour , danger, intrigue and history masterfully well.
I had intended to ask if he wished to add another chapter but I never did, to my regret.

His stories were fun and exciting and what else should comic book character stories be?

This is a very strange kind of grief as I never met him nor knew what he looked like and yet still he was and will always be, my friend.

Awful. I'm very sorry to hear that he's passed, especially since he was such a giant in this community. Given that he was, indeed, always encouraging to new writers, it does not surprise me at all to hear that he was an avid blood donor as well. RIP indeed.

I am really saddened to hear the news. Centurion was a contributor of great value, both in terms of quality and quantity of work he put in, particularly the Fuchsia Fox world he was crafting and will be greatly missed. I wish his family well and am glad Flirty will do her best to complete whatever works he had in the pipeline... I am sure she will do him proud.

Hey, I just want all of you to know that all of your comments and tributes have been so very nice and so appreciated.

I have shared some back and forth emails with his family, and although they are not really aware of this life of his here at this alt. genre, I have shared all of your comments with his family and, although they might not get this strange world of kinky writing, all of your wonderful tributes, I think, brings warmth to their hearts in knowing their brother, their son, was such a treasured talent.

I want to thank all of you that have taken the time to post your appreciations for the talented writer and friend that was Centurion. <hearts & kisses to all of you!>

A little late, but really a big loss for the genre, I remember that for many years I read several stories of Fuchsia Fox, I believe I have read since he started posting here, in the last two years I stopped a little to follow his stories assiduously , but I always liked it, he had a very special way of writing, a big loss for the superhero community, he leaves in peace, and that his work will be here forever

Hey everyone … I know it’s been well over a year now, but a week ago one of Centurion’s nephews, who had been over seas, reached out to me. Here’s an excerpt from his email to me …

I'm writing because I wanted to thank you for sharing the forum responses. I cannot tell you how elated I am to know that Tommy found a community with whom to share his ideas, creativity, passions, and words. Tommy meant a great deal to me, and I'm so thankful that he meant something to you too. If appropriate, please pass along my gratitude to the community for sharing their time, words, and friendship with my uncle. I can assure you, you and your forum gave Tommy something he couldn't find in his rural home: comradery and acceptance. ”

I miss his writing. I didn't know him very well beyond that, but he also was the only writer to contribute to '12 Heroines of Christmas' besides myself, having contributed the Mary Marvel chapter.
