As a producer and owner of this forum, I try to stay out of these things but issues like this really piss me off. Maybe one day I'll voice my opinions about this but for now I'll stay on the sidelines...

It got to the point where a Mr Not Logan would post stuff like "I'm looking to buy some of your fantastic Heroine Legends videos. Your pricing is very fair for videos of such excellent quality, but it's just I want so many that I'm not sure I can afford them all. Do you have any special offers coming up this month?"

Apparently, Logan is busy "Representing Nightshadow at Comic-Con 2016" this weekend. Yet he's not listed as an exhibitor. Anastasia's partner is on the list and we've seen her own authentic pics from the event, yet there's no sign whatsoever of Mr Cross or his company on the event's website.

For my part, I just wish we could figure out a way to get Amanda into a superheroine outfit. Seeing more footage of her was the main thing that kept me curious about the film (back when I thought it'd be made).

Before I saw that Logan's feature video wouldn't get made, I'd been hoping he'd resort to using her as a heroine or villainess.

On the subject of SDCC, if we assume for a moment that Logan really did attend, the badge in the photos is marked "Professional", rather than "Exhibitor". So being pictured standing behind a table while telling us he's "representing Nightshadow" gives the superficial appearance of a spot at Comic-Con without making a direct claim of being an exhibitor. If he was there at all, it was to hand out business cards and attempt to secure investment.

The way he worded the kickstarter, it's likely he will get away with it. Does depend if the contributors are willing to band together and take legal action though, could sue it out of him. However since a fair few only contributed to get "exclusive" videos that supposedly were never to be released, doubt they'd bother suing in that case.

As with most failed kickstarters, investors will probably just have to put it down to a learning experience.

Perhaps pay some heed to multiple people commenting "it's a scam!" in future!

The big question is what is Logan's funding plan now? We can safely assume that Scrooge McDuck and Richie Rich aren't going to come through with the $100,000,000 budget. And emailing endless "last chance" offers to previous customers can't be generating much revenue anymore.

So where can he go from here, now the original Kickstarter money has supposedly all gone? Are we going to see another Nightshadow crowdfunding campaign in the next few weeks?

What will his angle be next time? Maybe Logan will claim the (made-up) millionaire investors backed out because they're massive racists who didn't approve of the ethnically-diverse casting choices he wanted to make? Okay, looking at that page, it would be reasonable to assume a largely Latino cast with the singer Yenddi Batista in a prominent role. Logan's really going the extra mile to represent minorities.

Surely Logan wouldn't try to raise funds from a minority group by misrepresenting a diverse cast in a film where all the prominent characters are actually white? That would be unethical.

The term "stalky" seems extreme. All the photos and videos on this thread were uploaded personally by Logan Cross for the sole intention of getting people talking about his projects. The discussion has remained focused on his public activities as a self-publicizing filmmaker. I'm really not convinced it's even remotely "stalky" to link to the public YouTube videos and public Instagram pics of a publicity-seeker.

Since you donated to the kickstarter, you're a backer and you can comment on the kickstarter page itself. Right now, it only has 4 positive comments from february. If I'd donated I'd be asking: where's the expensive costume the kickstarter campaign was supposed to have funded, what happened about the rush to get the costume made to stay on schedule to start shooting in spring-summer 2016 (re kickstarter campaign page), and BTW when are you shooting Nightshadow, and is it still "on schedule for an April 2017 release date"?

You can even call Renegade Effects Group and Disguise Designs, tell them you're a backer of the Nightshadow Kickstarter Campaign (cause you are) and ask them how the costumes and props are coming along.

I agree with you. Logan Cross is a kickstarter scammer and people should know about it, mainly to help prevent others in the future from being conned by his BS in the future.

Hmmm...I have bought several of Logan's vids over the years and never got any annoying emails. I guess I should be thankful I didn't. The reason that the site is still up (although Xplicit Films is now gone) is that it still sells regularly. So I'm guessing it will be there until sales totally plummet. I don't care about Kickstarter stuff because I don't contribute to such things.

IMHO, producers need to seek out actresses from that series (other than Amanda Santella, who seems to have no shortage of demand) and get them to do whatever combat and peril stuff they are willing to do. That way Logan's legacy would at least live on in the best of fashions.....

Oh, and as far as "racial insensitivity" goes, check the Suicide Squad scene where Rick Flag tells El Diablo to "put down the burrito"....
