This is the new look of Batgirl suit, starting on Batgirl 27.
No cowl,

What do you guys think?

I can live with the zipper version as a temporary costume but the new one without a cowl is a bit questionable. Looks like the mask extends through her hair to create bat ears which is different and not horrible but if they're not mask extensions and she's just wearing separate ears, frankly that's just silly to me. Batman's cowl and cape were threatening, they hid his face much more and went with his dark-by-night persona. This Batgirl costume seems far from being daunting to anybody facing her. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give it a 6.5 at best.

At least the classic version is back. I don't ever want to see anyone cosplaying Burnside Batgirl.

I like everything about it BUT the cape and mask....she needs a cowl....the smooth shape of the cowl and ears down around her face and mouth adds something kinky to her character...its adds a touch of freakiness like "hey I am already wearing this hood like thing....go ahead and fully bondage me out!"

Ya this is more Batgirl parody than Batgirl... Those books (everything Gotham) should lean toward gritty and practical, in comparison to the rest of DC at least.

Definitely an improvement, but not sure if that's saying much. I loved the 80s look, so I'm biased towards a return to that.

Very bad

The things on the head the hair cut, did they import the artist and writer from Marvel

The costume itself seems like a return to form. The mask is crap, though.

I think the concept is not that bad. To me, the problem here is much more because of the artist. I think that art comes from the same guy behind Batman White Knight, but, as far as I know, that guy won't draw the new Batgirl.

This is a version of Batgirl (Ed Benes) with an eye mask and you can see the difference:
