ATTENTION!: KEEP A SHARP LOOK OUT FOR ILLEGAL FREE-SHARERS AND IMPOSTERS USING The Production Name/Nickname "JIMBO"

I want to bring something urgent to all of you fans. I've wanted to keep this under wraps but due to a couple of things I have found out in the past few minutes..its good to get it out on the open. As many of you folks know, Illegal free-sharing on illegal forums and video sites has become a huge problem on the internet to the point of ridiculousness. And by ridiculousness, I mean people going out of their way to create a phony account and use a producer or producers name or nickname and etc to upload/steal producers videos. With that being said, I was notified by MMP Studios a couple of weeks ago that someone had created account using my production nickname and post up info about this series on that forum and other forums/illegal sites as well. Well, it seems like someone or a group of people have taken it a step further to ruin and sabotage WON YouTube's reputation and to sabotage this fan film series project franchise and our partnership with MMP Studios and other networks as well. As of now, I have been banned by a 2 forums that I promote this series at because of this imposter. It is very irritating to realize that someone has taken your identity/nickname and private internet info in attempt to ruin your reputation..and in worst case scenario have you banned in some places. This isn't the first time someone has used my name and hack into my private internet info...Nevertheless..it is very, very upsetting. Now, as you all know...some of the series videos have been stolen and illegal free-shared on illegal forums and sites and we have taken action by filing DMCA complainant against the party and the site. Sadly, some of the sites/forums haven't taken action and haven't taken down the videos or have erased the false accounts as well. This is a trouble trend that needs to be put to an end and SOON! If any of you fans sees any of our film film installments or and WON YouTube Videos or MMP Studios Videos posted on any illegal free-share sites or forums...Please message me here on the page or you can email me @ [email protected]

Why would anyone need to re-upload your videos, anyway? They're freely available on YouTube. I can post one right here on this forum without breaking any rules or infringing your rights in any way.

What is the impostor getting out of this? Are they trying to charge people money for the videos? Or just damage your reputation?

One thing I would advise is that throwing around DMCAs is probably not a good idea when your own videos use trademarks and copyrights you don't hold. I'm not convinced parody would be a defense in your case, seeing as the videos don't use transformative genres such as comedy or porn. They're just straight-up unauthorized use of WB/DC's property.

I agree...the main issue is that there are some sneaky folks who have taken not only my videos...but other producers videos as well and have posted them on illegal forum or illegal freesharing video sites. But, the worst part is when someone uses your name/nickname on these forums and sites and uses them for illegal activity and etc. And sadly that what this imposter is doing. I think the goal for this imposter is to damage my reputation and trying to sabotage the series and the relationship me and MMP have. That imposter who is using my "JIMBO" name has cause me to be banned by two forums in a span of 24 hours. I don't know what's to gain from people frees-sharing producers videos and free youtube videos. It doesn't make any sense what so ever. I've never shared/illegally uploaded anyone's videos at any free-sharing video site or free-sharing forum because its just plain wrong and disrespectful.

As for the DMCA filings....I have made it clear that I don't own the rights to Supergirl or Superwoman or Twilight Zone...but since its a non-profit parody film is under my full name and production name...I made a complaint for the video to be taken down off of those illegal free-sharing sites. Its not only wrong for my videos to be posted on those free-sharing sites..it just doesn't make any sense at all...especially since the videos are on YouTube. It plain wrong to illegally upload any producers videos on any illegal free-sharing sites/forum So I just want folks to be aware of the situation because it is becoming a big problem.

Some file sharing websites give money to the uploaders based on the number of downloads of 'their' files, so now you know what's behind all this...

Some of the tube sites are hives of scum and villainy. You can't use the sites with Adblock activated. If you disable Adblock, you get bombarded with pop-ups (often unclosable) for binary options scams and fake "Microsoft" alerts trying to hijack your computer.

I don't mind disabling Adblock for legitimate adverts if it helps keep a site open, but any site that hosts ads from blatant crooks is dodgy.

All of his products are free. He collects money via patreon and then creates a video he gives away for free.

That makes the projects more ethical than infringing commercial productions, but it doesn't make them exempt from copyright law. DC and Marvel could shut down every fan film project tomorrow if they felt like it.

Nobody has an automatic right to non-profit use of DC and Marvel's characters.

You make some good points and you are correct that non profit fan films doesn't make them exempt from copyright law. Now, with DC..they are more understanding than marvel. As I have heard Marvel/Disney frowns upon fan films more then DC. I also think it also comes down to how good the fan film looks aka looks very Hollywood and if it gets a very large fan base. That's when I think DC or Marvel would step in. As for my films..I'm man enough to admit...my fan film installment doesn't even come close to that since these films are very low budget aka (golan globus territory). I make no profit out of this. I only make these films for fun and enjoyment and to point out and focus on a peril element that was and still is lacking in the superheroine community.

Please don't argue a strawman. I never said he had a right to anything.

Indeed. The Axanar project was getting so close to authentic Star Trek in terms of quality and scale that CBS and Paramount recently released fan film guidelines which restrict projects to a basic 15 minute production with no more than two episodes and no stars who have appeared in the franchise.

I wasn't arguing a strawman. I was merely pointing out that your statement about these projects being non-profit has no bearing on swampy's comment.

I agree people should pay. but maybe people doing videos should do more of what people actually want to buy. I paid for my videos for almost ten years. I got so little of what I wanted that about two years ago I just stopped buying videos, well just an occasional one I knew I would like. I even paid to have custom videos done. but when I got video I wondered if they even read the script I sent. it was so little of what I wanted. most videos done, at least on clips4sale I wouldn't watch for free. but I'm not into bondage or g/g, and that covers most the videos done. and mainstream porn is as bad. they won't hardly do superheroine peril. all I ever hear is that they afraid to have superheroine raped by villain. first there are all kinds of ways around that. but are you kidding me. mainstream won't do superheroine peril but they will make videos with mother/son, father/daughter, tons babysitter getting fucked. that's called incest and statutory rape. the people doing videos should take some responsibility yourselves. I'm not a jerk. I'm not wanting to be judgemental. again I hardly ever say anything negative online, or say much period. but this is something I've thought of saying for quite a while. I would love to spend more money again if there were videos worth buying. again I'm not trying to be an asshole. I'm actually wanting to be constructive. the couple of other times I said something negative on this forum it was put back in my face like there was something wrong with me. anyway this is my two cents ( well maybe two dollars this time ) for what it's worth. thanks, don't mean to offend anyone. mike.

The problem with Axanar was they collected fan money to film Axanar but then used the money to build a studio to make for profit products which Paramount got a little nervous about.

As for my statement, yes making a free fan film is not the same as make a for profit fetish film. No different than if I make a few pictures of Wonder Woman as fan art then complain about pirating. Jimbo is not profiting off DC or Marvel characters the way some other producers clearly do.
