Wow! With the U.S. government shutting down, I so badly need to break things. Such a satisfying crashing and tinkling cascade of joy. Also they're pretty too.

Note** I believe these lights only appear on the general home page -- when you click on the Superheroines link just below the banner.

Thanks, Mighty Hypnotic. You're the best!

Is there an option for turning them off?

Yes, Mr. Scrooge, there is a way to get rid of the holiday lights on your own screen. When you're logged in you can go to the upper right of the screen where your avatar is shown and click on Board Preferences in that pull-down menu. When you get there you'll see an option under Global Edits for disabling the Christmas lights. We don't have an "Insert coal into your favorite relative's hanging stocking" option but we're working on it just for you.

:giggle:

Okay, sure, all that crashing noise of lights exploding can be a bit much I suppose -- but try to get into the holiday spirit, eh?

Peace out!

I will have to remind my priest that breaking computer generated lights is what this holiday is all about. He is so old fashioned.

I only turned them off because I wear headphones when I am using my laptop, and they are really loud with my headphones. Plus I don't want anyone at home knowing I'm watching Primal Fetish's newest video and hearing Christmas lights popping. Think about the children!

But if you turn them off, Santa won't come....

I was so so busy this month that I forget to remind you Dec 15th to bring back the breakable colored lights. Thanks for

remembering.

Well the plugin hadn't been updated in a while, so I wasn't sure if it would break the forum.. but then the developer updated the files for the current forum version and we were able to install it again!

Loving the Christmas lights - it's a small but very appreciated touch!

Merry Christmas, folks, I hope you all have a great festive period. This might be the only gathering of persons on earth where I don't feel like some kind of imposter alien creature trying to blend in, and for that I'm eternally grateful for both this forum and our motley community. Warmest regards to you all.
