The CW has announced the Arrow spin off will be Oliver and Felicity's daughter, Mia, will join the Canaries for a woman centered team. At least it won't be totally Arrow: The Next Generation. Now if they could get away from dark costumes and fights on low light sets where we can't see much of anything.

Because we know the writing will go quickly downhill, there will hardly be any peril, and their costumes will be generic dark leather body suits that won't be worth screen caps.

OK, so I've not been watching Arrow in years.

How do they have a daughter that's an adult already?

There was a future timeline around 2040 in season 7.
But I don't know if they start there....the two canaries from Arrow would be around 50 then.
Perhaps they won't use that timeline?
Confusing....

The future timeline stuff in the last season was TERRIBLE. And Mia, in particular, was bad. So I don't really want to see this.
I am looking forward to Batwoman, but I hear it's not getting very good reviews. :(

A little off-topic, but:
So far, only a few folks saw the pilot, nothing after that. And that's like the first minutes of a movie, there is much more after that. ;-)
Pilots are just an introduction.
And I have read good reviews too, and personally I believe that many or most of the bad reviews are made by trolls or/and men who are afraid there little friend will fall off when they see a strong female character. Especially a lesbian one like in this case. And besides that I think that there won't be so much feminism in the show itself. But the trailer really motivated the hell out of....especially... the trolls.
Everyone else who is remotely interested in this show should give the show a chance and watch at least 3 or 4 episodes to build up an opinion.

And back to the topic:
I don't like "future timlines" because they involve spoilers about the present timeline. OK, that problem is gone by then, since the Arrow show is over by then.
I just think it's not the best idea to have three leading ladys in an action show were two of them are around 50.
But let's see if the ordered pilot gets into a series...and what ideas they come up with.
