Post by dragontigerandhorse1985 »

Most famous Nemisis and also
Speical words used for example to:
Desribe a gun like Olson did and then every one saying
Call it a Gun.
or
Lois Lane wanting to being a gang leaders Mall.

I am starting the conversation with the following one time
showing of the Man in the Lead Mask Episode:

Please, you can include as well who you thought was the most interesting
person who tried to help Superman and team.

Please have fun with this.

George Reeves portrayal of Clark Kent was the least wimpish if you compare it to the movie versions

Superman - "Didn't you think to put earholes in that mask?"
Man in Mask - "Did you say something? I can't hear a thing in this bloody mask"
How strange are the ways of the gods ...........and how cruel.

This show actually had some pretty intelligent plots. Like the way crooks figure out kryptonite hurts superman. Then have a remote controlled machine gun with a strip of bullets, each one made of a different substance/element and they have a timed camera to snap on each shot and they discover the bullet made of kryptonite made him flinch.

Another was Clark Kent wanted to find out where some thieves hideout was. They were stealing some bent knives. So Clark Kent bought a knife and was walking around with it when the clubbed him over the head and he pretended to pass out but he wouldn't let go of the knife so they had to take him with. Turned out it was an elaborate plot by some rich guy to get superman to use his full x-ray vision to x-ray the stolen knives cause they thought there was a secret in the handles. Instead the knives were made up of a substance that, when exposed the x-rays, turned into radium and Superman was the most powerful x-ray source on the planet.

Totally. The look on his face in that picture above say everything.

Reeve's Clark Kent was sarcastic and patronizing even by the standards of the 1950's, his Superman was practically a mid Victorian Gentleman, Lois was ALWAYS "MISS Lane", although he was on a chummy first name basis with Jimmy Olsen.

He refered to her as Miss. Lane, but addressed her as Lois

The responses are cool and insightful, and I like being reminded of his characters reationship with Lois and Jimmy and yes, The Chief. Any thoughts on the scientists, both the good guys and bad guys?

What about the villains and their nicknames?

Man in the lead mask: "So she asks me...'why is it made of lead?'"
Clark: "What did you tell her?"
Man in the lead mask: "I explained that it was a horrible accidently involving acid that left me maimed for life".
Clark: "I see...and what was her response to that?"
Man in the lead mask: "Then she asked me why the mask is made of lead."

Man in the mask - "I have thwarted your attempts to find out my identity! You cannot see through this lead mask! It took months to make and is agony to wear, but it's so worth it! "

Superman "Your name is Dave Jones, I just x - rayed the ID in your wallet"

MitM - "God damned son-of-a-bitch! "

----------------------------------------------------------

Superman " Do you like pizza?"
MitM "No."
Superman " Sucks to be you, bro."
