Many producers on clip sites release their videos in parts, and will later release the full video. You may have to wait a few days, weeks, months, or over a year for the full video. Sometimes producers never release the full video. This trend is practiced by some producers such as Kendra James, Condor Coxxx, Cory Chase, and Anatasia Pierce to just name a few. It is common among many fetishes at clip stores.

I've always found this trend to be very annoying and a tad crazy. There are many videos that I would like to buy, but I am not going to buy the videos in parts. I have a few issues with this practice. More times than not, the full videos are cheaper than buying all of the parts. For example, let's say a video has three parts for $15.99 each, and the full video costs $30. So you would have to pay $47.97 for all three parts or wait an unknown length of time for the full video at $30. Why would I want to buy the parts when the full video is normally cheaper?

In my humble opinion if you buy the full video, then you should have automatic access to the parts. There really is no difference after buying the full video.

This past summer I got screwed by one studio that I will not name. This studio did not label the video as part one so I assumed it was the complete video, and I was wrong. Part 2 was released, and labeled as part two. I do not like buying parts. Hell I never buy parts. I contacted the studio about not labeling the video as part one, and was given a lousy excuse. The full video has never been released as of this date.

Sometimes I notice all of the parts and FULL VIDEO are in Clips4Sale's top 50 list. Did the same customers buy the parts and the full video? I ponder that thought sometimes. Maybe Clips4Sale's poor layout confused the customers. Maybe they noticed a new update and rushed to buy it without realizing they are buying the same video again.

I noticed Primal Fetish practices this trend at their other stores, but they do it in a customer friendly manner. They will release the full video first, and then release parts. Sometimes parts and the full video are released on the same day. You don't have to wait until your next birthday to buy the full videos.

One producer, who I will not name said it saves her time by editing videos in parts instead of the full video. I edit videos for my online business and don't understand her logic.

Please only vote in the poll if you BUY videos at clip stores.

Every once in a while, only one scene of a Primal video will appeal to me, and in those cases I'm glad for the option to skip paying for the scene I don't want.

Netflix releases a whole series at once.
Hulu releases one episode a week.

Nothing crazy about it.

You can't compare porn/adult entertainment to mainstream media. Full episodes also cannot be compared to parts of a video. Hulu releases full episodes. They don't release episodes in 10 minute parts. A whole series is unrelated to this topic.

The reason I buy the whole video is my fear that if I bought a part of a video, that the "money" part of the video might be located in the clip that I purchased, even though there are clip previews that are there to presumably to help in this regard but I think that those magic moments in these videos are often difficult to predict, so that one is better off in buying the video in its entirety so that one can find it.

In economics, there's something called a "price-sensitive buyer." That is... someone who will not buy a particular product based on relatively small changes in price.

So I suspect that people who buy parts of a video are more price-sensitive. They want to buy only the part they want and they don't want to pay for anything more.

I am generally not every price-sensitive. I am, however, afraid of buying the wrong part or missing something really good in a part of a video that I didn't get. So I typically buy the complete video, even if I don't actually WATCH the whole thing.

Then Primal doesn't release parts in the sense you're complaining about -- they release complete scenes, and tend to shoot two related scenes.

And, to the person who wants to buy just certain parts, those parts to them are complete. Your definition of a full video is based on what it is you want, but your narrative need is not the only legitimate purpose served by porn/adult entertainment. After all, you can't compare porn/adult entertainment to mainstream media. To a fetishist who just wants belly punches, ten minutes of belly punches is a complete episode.

BTW, let it not be lost you're talking about clips.

I am curious to hear from people, who buy parts and the full video. Why do you buy the same product twice?

So you tell me that I can't compare porn to mainstream media when it was you who did so.....

Primal Fetish does release parts at their Taboo store after the full video is released.

A full video contains every part of the video. A part of a video can never be the completed video. To make things clear for everyone, I am not speaking about sequels.

A person's favorite part in a complete video does not complete the video. For example, I love force kissing in girl on girl scenes. The 3 or 5 minutes of kissing do not "complete" the 40 minutes video.

Oh FFS, your needs are not the only needs the industry exists to serve. Best of luck with your latest crusade.

As far as partial videos in this genre has not happened to me.

But sometime producers in audio/video are no up front. I bought a BBC audio which did not say part 1 on the order or in the box.

I saved if for a long distance drive and when I got home I contacted amazon who claimed I waited till long.

Life is not always fair, just don't patronize company again

He's not wrong about that.

IF you aren't sure what scenes are available with whichever parts, just drop the producer an email and ask. They can always tell you. Some people like a whole pizza, and some people just want it by the slice. One person's preference is not everyone's preference.

I like what Primal does as often times there is a "money" scene or series within the video I really am interested in, but there's also some other content I don't quite care for. It makes it nice for pickier buyers at times to be able to select, but there are only a few producers I trust with this and they have to provide a rather detailed description of what is in the clip/scene that was taken from the larger video. This also appeals to me because I'm a fan of the heroine keeping her costume/suit on for most of the naughty stuff, so if there's a video where she's taken in costume, but later on the costume is removed, I can just pick up the part that appeals to me. I'm sure I'm not alone in these thoughts, otherwise these companies wouldn't offer this option.
