Re: Electra Woman's Incompetence In "The Spider Lady"
But her failure was sexy! Big Time. For me, one of the main appeals of Electra Woman is that she is such a crappy superheroine. Like, In her 70s show Wonder Woman made mistakes and lost a few times but on the whole she was a badass. Same goes for Spider-Woman in her cartoon. By contrast Electra Wom...

Rather than looking to Marvel, perhaps DC should look closer to home and take a serious look at the animated DC projects. Most of those direct to video releases are superior to many of the live action movies they have produced.

We can only wonder what season 4 would have looked like. At the end of Season 3, it appeared like she was getting a super powered partner, so chances of WW needing to be occasionally rescued would have been much higher or so I keep telling myself.

I don’t mean to take away from this thread, but Lynda Carter had a great and underrated ass. That's America's ass! I've read a lot of complaints she had no tush at all. Exhibit A for research purposes... WW stolen faces.png And here's the toyman examining the goods... deadly toys (94).png

She was rather incompetent as a superheroine, and in a way, that was part of the appeal, I guess. Similar to how we loved Yvonne Craig's Batgirl for getting captured by villains so easily. Seeing them all cocky, knowing that they will be in trouble soon just makes us want to watch them more.

I can understand that the OTS will be a popular choice with the heroines ass in full display and just right beside the villain's face too. Superheroine weaknesses, much like Superheroine powers tend to vary depending on how the writer wants the story to go. We've seen it like a million times on the SG TV series and in probably all superhero themed shows.

The sexy costume is the biggest part of the appeal for sure as well as the apparent strength of the superheroine (but with vulnerabilities/weakness nonetheless). What arm chair wouldn't want to defeat that?

Well they really need to shift the focus away from Nightwing (and Batman's enemies). Donna, Superboy and Raven are too powerful so they had to be sidelined for much of the show just so Crane can appear to succeed for a while.
