(On a side note I bought the comic of the film just last week and the artists are constantly showing us up Helen Slaters red skirt,, lol) ( That would have really made the film memorable lol . Re: The Boys (Season Two)
Am I the only one who thinks Starlights costume (the supposedly slutty one) is ugly? And there's something weird about they way she stands that's just really unattractive. Is it me? Yes. I noticed this too. Her boobs just sag in it and she walks all slumped over. She reminds me of most of the model...

Re: Poll: Is Helen Slater still the definitive live action Supergirl?
We only had one movie to go by so I guess it was easy to remember basically every scene with SG in it. And since Helen looked so great in costume, every scene (with SG) was definitely worth remembering, bad as the movie was. In contrast, with more TV episodes, I think we can be forgiven for not reme...

Re: Poll: Is Helen Slater still the definitive live action Supergirl?
The definitive live action Supergirl? I think part of the problem is the question, while seemingly straightforward, can actually be taken several different ways. The question begs a comparison between Helen and Melissa. But compared based on what criteria? Attractiveness? Costume? Acting skill? Qua...

For me, it was the look above all else. Whenever I imagine any situation with Supergirl in it, whether wholesome or not , it's the Helen Slater version that I think about.

This show is definitely better cast and better written than any Arrow-verse show. They've also shown that it's possible to make subtle political or social commentaries without being preachy or cringe-worthy. Psst. Re: Is Helen Slater still the definitive live action Supergirl?
I'm afraid I think Melissa Benoist is the superior Supergirl by a country mile. Helen Slater's movie wasn't just campy; it was a really bad film, and if Helen Slater has talent, she wasn't allowed to display it. Her portrayal got across very little of what makes the character memorable. Acting-wise...

Being the most poorly written show in the Arrow-verse, it wasn't so surprising. That change of costume last season probably broke the camel's back as it lost what could have been the best (if not the only) reason to watch show in the first place. I hope they do a better job at crafting stories for S...

Gal Gadot is not exactly the best actress, but the first movie called for a bit of awkwardness being mostly a fish out of water scenario, and that worked to her advantage. I was just about to say that it's probably good that this is among Geoff Johns' pet projects, so there is a strong chance that the story telling will not be waylaid by some political agenda that the show runners would like to shoehorn into the show.

Actress is 20. Yeah, but in her role she's 15, and she looks very much like that. They're probably thinking ahead to multiple seasons, so the character will eventually be maturing from the moody teenager to a more mature superheroine. So if this show works out, we'll probably be seeing her going to...

I really liked it better than other superhero films out there, live-action included. A review I've seen says the story is sort of a condensed version of what Snyder envisioned his Justice League trilogy would have ended had the studios not intervened. I guess we'll never know for sure.
