Re: Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins gets killed by prop gun that Alec Baldwin fired

This goes back for the reason there was almost a strike by film crew workers. Poor pay, longer working hours, poor safety, and telling people the had to work past legal hours to keep working. When union crew members left this set they were replaced with non-union. There was a story a few weeks ago w...

I wonder how Baldwin's often stormy relationship with the press will inform on the coverage of this tragic accident. How does something like this happen? Baldwin will initially get ripped by the press until more information comes to. It happens because people don't think. They assume a prop is &quo...

There has been a dramatic shift in more than just the suoerhero genre away from peril to more emphasis on fight scenes and explosions. The 1960s had plenty of peril scenes where you got to see the hero or heroine escape from a death trap. But now those scenes aren't really there. Just look at the re...

I've watched both versions of Hawaii 5-0, but still prefer the original. Nothing beats the last scene of the original with Wo-Fat in prison smiling as he pulled out a file. But both are great examples of procedurals where they were still interesting because of the characters and not the plots.

There are plenty of long running formalistic TV shows, so that isn't the problem. It is having good writing and characters that bring you back for more. Just spinning off another show from a franchise doesn't mean it will be good.

You would need a powerful director like Gunn to be interested in the project to convince the company to do a movie like that. Otherwise they keep writing dark and depressing. After all Aquaman was funny and did great. The Suicide Squad is dark and funny, but it is too soon to tell financially.

It depends which part of the X-Men timeline they use. Some events don't fit well with the current MCU. However with the multi-verse they could slip them in as coming from a variant timeline. Like Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. weren't involved with the Snap either.
