Re: "One Hit Wonders" story concept

What about throwing out some one-hit wonder ideas as a way to have writers collaborate and integrate each other's ideas into their respective plots? I'm sort of doing the opposite in that I'm trying a little world-building using the Batgirl universe and extending a story in the same manner a comic b...

The elevator ride up to her apartment was interminable. The anticipation of the red-and-blue fantasy girl standing on her balcony was beyond her wildest fantasies. As someone who didn't care in the slightest for the film and didn't like the way they just made her the "strongest" out of nowhere despite zero establishment of her character, I'd like to see what she could do with an actual writer and good script/supporting cast. I was always a fan of th...

Bingo. And for all its virtue-signaling of its progressivism, as a whole Hollywood does not seem interested in creating original stories with diverse casts--it merely wants to repackage well-received stories and recast the roles with diverse casts.

Brie Larson is a beautiful woman, but I never found her Ms. Marvel character to be appealing beyond the visual. To what extent is the Ms. Marvel character in the MCU interesting? The key is charisma, not mere good looks. Seems like a bad idea for someone to try and emulate someone else's project style, as that means doing something one is not typically accustomed to doing or good at doing (and there's the high probability of a dull and uninspiring project as the result of trying to copy something already done).

Not sure it’s fair to call it misogyny to have an attractive woman put in a sexy outfit and placed in precarious situations. That’s just selling sex appeal.
