The whole fucking thread is politics. The only difference with sneakly's post is that it mentions actual real-world politics instead of the bullshit conspiracy theories that otherwise get a free pass here.

Re: Deadpool 3 (Marvel, 2024)

I thought the second Deadpool was pretty rad. I'm fully game for this. After "Logan," a comedic turn for Jackman's Wolverine might be just what the doctor ordered. Not much to say beyond that for now, except that I love Ryan Reynolds' faux-"inspirational" video where one of the s...

Re: She-Hulk (Disney +, 2021)

The last couple of episodes seemed relatively disposable... except that with the most recent one, I get the sense that they really are building to something. I don't mind a "show about nothing" where we have fun with the insecurities of being She-Hulk, but the seeds they've sown so far are...

Four episodes in and I'm consistently either at an 'above average' level of enjoyment to occasional bouts of full on absorbed in the show. It's GOOD. It's not like the BEST EVER television... but it's not mediocre either. It's GOOD, and more importantly it's getting BETTER with each episode. I was ...

The new episodes are very funny. She-Hulk deals with a charlatan misusing magic from Kamar-Taj (a nice guest appearance by Wong, who picks up an odd-couple bestie in the process) and fights off an attempt to steal her name for use in a dodgy beauty products brand by Titania. It's all still light-hea...

On reflection and a rewatch, I'll up my rating a bit. I'll give it a 6/10, and I'll continue to give it a shot. Points do have to be accorded for the incredible production value, per Femina and Dogfish , and I think Damselbinder has a point: the Harfoots are too much fun to be mad about their showin...

I wouldn't outright skip it on account of the detractors. The critical reaction is a bit mixed, but there's enough positive feedback about it (and in venues that aren't vulnerable to review-bombing) to make it worth a shot, at least for a stream at home when it comes to Disney Plus.

So I finally watched this and it was good fun. Gotta say, I'm enjoying the show. A bit short on action, but it's a good bit of light comedy fun. It's also a pretty masterful exercise in simultaneously trolling and exploiting the Whiny Incel Demographic (the way Episode 3 directly integrates them into the story is very funny).
