Re: Wonder Woman in Sydney
Very interesting to see the psychological impact of . . . Wonder Woman depowered, defeated, and even having her tiara taken! These are the sorts of things the show never delved into, that would have made it so much better. And all this while conveying the feel of the TV show and the main character. ...

Re: Superman and Lois Season 3 or
I haven't followed this show at all, but reading some of the news, I see that they had budget cuts and had to cut the regular series characters down to a minimum. I almost wonder if that would have been a blessing in disguise if it had happened to the Supergirl show. One of my gripes of that show wa...

Count me in with the people who thought someone from higher up had sent down word to tame down the show and lessen the peril for the main character. I couldn't have been more wrong, it seems, as the last couple of episodes were brutal for the heroine, from the beatdown she received, to the torture o...

Weird to think there's only three episodes left, kind of figured this was going to be a one and done, but there's definitely a lot more to cover so there might have to be a lot more. I've really only just now started looking into what the story essentially needs to cover, and the second age is big....

I'll add two: Ted Lasso For All Mankind Both are on Apple TV+. I have yet to find a person who gave Ted Lasso 3 or 4 episodes who didn't call it one of their favorite shows in years. They did a horrible job marketing it, as it isn't really what they made it out to be. If you like Schitt's Creek, thi...

What a great surprise to log in and find this story, out of the blue! Bert, if anything, I think your combat descriptions and setting of scenes are both even stronger than before. And I've always loved Krissy's mix of spunk and a bit of innocence. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Yes, what Dr. D said. Great build up in this one on all fronts. If this had been a book in my hands, it would have been one of those "can't put it down right now" parts -- and then of course it ended and I had to put it down :P
Something tells me the next part is going to be epic.

I'm really enjoying how each opponent has a distinct personality and presence. So this...

I’ve been chewing on this, and one thing I like about her, that seems pretty unique, is even with all her powers, she still feels pain - sometimes even significant pain. Great topic. I agree that in general, most people want to cut to the chase (with "the chase" being the reader's particular main interest). But I agree with your point that the heroine needs to be established and built up, or she's just a punching bag and not much of a heroine. In the end, ...

I won’t repeat the criticisms everyone has given so far, most of which I agree with. One part of the show that’s always bummed me out was the writers’ decision to make it a space-alien show. Re: What do you want out of OC heroines?
To focus on Damselbinder’s initial question, I prefer the heroine to be a badass, rather than someone who can’t hold her own. It takes away any drama if she’s a punching bag. I like her to be tough, but also to have challenges. When she does get in a pickle, it's more interesting and dramatic if she...
