Re: Masters of the Universe: Revelation
I've watched three episodes worth, I'll probably finish it up tomorrow. The marketing was quite disingenuous, and what was worse was Kevin Smith being an outright liar about it. Teela was always a significant character in the show, so if they'd just come out and said (without spoiling that He-Man di...

Re: Batgirl - Bride of Penguin
Glad to see another new chapter here, after a long break. Despite it being short, it's good to see the further fall of Barbara as she's fighting against her own sense of loyalty. A bit more pathos inserted there before things progress.
Thanks for writing all of this!

Re: Batwoman - Season 2
Maybe I'm the enemy but I've started watching this show ironically. It's really not very well written, but I get some enjoyment out of the silly things they do; like having Alice randomly murder a supermodel inside of Wayne Manor and face zero repercussions for it. Jacob Kane learns she's in the Man...

When I next post a continuation by me, it will be building upon the extra that I’ve posted here, but in the timeline of coming after Resident Evil. I have so many ideas I want to write up and have been day dreaming about where to go and how to tie things together for the better parts of the past ye...

Re: Invisible Woman: Hard to See Her Like This
So I'm conflicted. The red section, as a montage, works pretty well for moving the action along without repeating story beats from earlier, showing more repeated torturing and training. But I actually dislike that it essentially skims over the moment when Sue's resistance finally fades and she final...

Re: 40 top Star Wars list
Faintly tangential Star Wars news, it seems like John Boyega and Oscar Isaac are done with Disney's bullshit, have embraced the Carrie Fisher energy and are no longer giving any fucks. Which is good for them, both fine actors who will go onto great careers and don't need the bullshit. Very good act...

Re: Star Wars Episode 9
Man, so many issues that fail to capture how the problems of the current trilogy are the result of strengths from the OT Running away and hiding from your mistakes is the most Jedi thing there is. This is completely inaccurate. There's two datapoints here from the original films, which isn't enough ...

Re: Aurelia - Gwardian Goddess: Enticed and Ensnared
Hey everybody. Jut a heads up that, sadly, I have written off the idea that Void will ever finish this story as he had so many times promised. So, should we just leave it off where Void left it ... or should I write up a conclusion to the story based on my own idea of where it might or should go ne...

Re: Fuchsia Fox Question of Power - Feedback Wanted!
It's up to you guys, but my suggestion would be this: Keep this as a contained idea. If you want to make it more than one story, it would be a disservice if it came off as episodic. Don't write a story where it plays out like every other story but she just happens to be less strong-make it a story a...

Re: The Lady of Light and the Heroines of Camelot
This looks good. I've only read through the first part so far, but I felt I needed to get these comments out. 1) Your use of the archaic pronouns is actually more distracting than immersive. They're sometimes being used wrong (Thou is the subjective, that is, it goes before the verb, whereas "t...

Re: Fuchsia Fox: "Assault on the Castle", by Centurion
I meant to offer some feedback on this story, but it's honestly hard for me to find something to say. I'm bad at this. Regardless, though, it's fun for villains to come back into the picture. Even better when they do manage to get the better of the heroine at least once. I liked that element of this...

Re: Fuchsia Fox : "Return To Club X", by Centurion
My own aside, I think it is ABSOLUTELY our business. I keep telling Centurion that we want a peek into all aspects of the Fox's life. I hope I am not alone in that desire. (If some of you share this desire to see (read) about all facets of the superheroine's life, including behind the closed door o...

Re: Fuchsia Fox : "Return To Club X", by Centurion
I thought this was a fun little diversion. It's nice to see that the hero couple have a healthy open relationship. If I wanted to do something with this series, though, I might make it turn darker a bit later on. But the writing is par excellence, per usual

Re: Fuchsia Fox : "Date With The Fox", by Centurion
Once again he has a rather fun idea for set-up. I like that it wasn't made completely explicit that she was drugged at the party even though it was obvious what happened. And there's fun little twists, like the nerds protecting her even though they were taking advantage of her as well. And it's nice...

Re: Fuchsia Fox : "Hostage!", by Centurion
I really liked this one. It's always fun to play out the secret identity taken hostage, no matter what you're trying to do in your story. "Bruce Wayne Held Hostage," is what some people call that. It gets old if it's overused, like any good trope, but it's fun almost every time anyway. The...

Re: Fan Fiction vs. Original Characters
There's nothing wrong with established characters if they are being explored AS original characters. The psychology and the character study is what tends to makes the character interesting. But if a writer is working to establish their own character, then usually they're doing more work to set up wh...

Re: Defeat of the Revengers
This looks fun. It's probably not my thing since it's a bit too campy, and the overpowered villain just removes any story tension, but I did enjoy reading this for the chuckles. I'll probably continue to read it in the future.

Re: Fan Fiction vs. Original Characters
Sorry to necro this thread (a year old), but this was something I was thinking about on my own before I saw this thread. I'm actually fairly new to the medium. I had very, very little exposure to comics growing up. Just about the only thing I ever read or explored was the X-men comic books, and that...

Re: supergirl/albert falcone taken down by author due to too much exposition
For anyone who was reading this story (not sure if anyone, but that's ok...I have been rereading it and have come to the conclusion that I am handling what could be a great story in an incorrect way, rushing too much, and offering too much by expostion, instead of showing it. For God's sake, I have...

Re: check out my Super Mom stories
Thanks for posting this. I do kind of like these. They do hit the right buttons of humiliation, brainwashing and corruption. The execution isn't perfect, but the writing, in terms of the mechanics, is very good. There's some structural things with the plot that I think could have been done better to...

Re: Aurelia - Gwardian Goddess: Enticed and Ensnared
And I really hate futility ^_^. Peril is meaningless if it is an inevitable loss, and in stories like this you can only lose once - otherwise it ISN'T losing - so it rather curtails the story... If the story is going to continue then the peril is better explored by sailing close to defeat but avoid...

Re: How much sexual humiliation should be in a scene?
I don't mind a good bit of plot and story, as long as the story is well done. The story is the build-up, and the sexual humiliation is the climax. If the build-up is proper, I don't need too much of the sexual humiliation to make it work.

Re: Defeat/Death of Heroines
I'm with the general consensus on this topic. There is a rare occasional where the death of the heroine is hot, but it needs to be handled well, as the ultimate final failure and disgrace. Somewhat more effective is killing off an ancillary character, though. Instead of killing Wonder Woman, make he...
