Being a seasoned connoisseur, I somehow find Corey Chase films lacking that “something” to be a true SHIP genre film.
Anybody else feel the same way? If so, what’s lacking?

I don't know the history of the terminology but in the 90s 'softcore' was the genre of content that depicted simulated sex, often made for channels like Showtime, or the like (adult cable tv). Usually you never actually got closeups of genitals, penetration being implied.
'Hardcore' would be when penetration is actually depicted. Dick in pussy, tongue in pussy, dildo in pussy. It doesn't mean there will be closeups but you will see insertion 'actually' happen.
Wikipedia describes 'softcore pornography' like this:

That’s a huge generalization but I’m sure a lot guys here can relate.
This genre has it all- from soft to hard. I believe it’s more of a fetish or kink than a genre though.

Oddly enough, the same artist that created Cory's banners also created the banner for this site!
Anyway, I think she gave it the college try about 10 - 12 years ago and released a lot of SHIP videos but I felt like she tried to make her hardcore audience happy first and then wrapped that around a superheroine story.
Whereas most superheroine producers will cater to their SHIP fans first (better costumes, story, sets, traps etc) and integrate that with hardcore.
I don't know what she's doing recently in the SHIP world if anything. I thought she played a switch really well.

She's still doing occasional videos for the Cory's Super Heroine Adventures clip store, but most of the recent ones are actually Harry Potter wizarding stuff. It seems like she still likes to get her nerd on once in a while but mostly focuses on her bread and butter which is MILF and Step Family vids.
