Is it me or does chloroform and bondage (some times both) seem to be a common theme with most superheroine films coming out now? Just seems to be getting a little old and repetitive. I hate the use of chloroform with a passion, it just seems like a very cheap way out...almost like the writer has run out of ideas. Bondage isn't my thing either but I get it, and when it's done well it can be used brilliantly. But starting scenes with the heroine already in some form of bondage or a cut scene when the heroine just appears in some kind of bondage again I just think is a cheap way out. I get that it all comes down to cost at the end of the day but a little more creativity wouldn't go a miss. I'm not singling any producer or director out with this it just seems to a running theme in most videos and it obviously must be popular otherwise why keep running with it? It's just getting a little dull for me.

First off, wrong section for your post.

Secondly, as a chloroform and bondage fan, you're grossly exaggerating if you think chloroform and bondage are "common" with the films coming out. If anything, there isn't enough. A chloroform sequence takes up less time than virtually any other fetish due to the very temporal nature of its use, not to mention most films can't even advertise the fetish anymore since it's deemed forbidden by a lot of online stores/billing companies. And as for the quantity and quality of bondage in most superheroine films, most are flat out laughable and poorly done (the heroine could easily slip out of them), not to mention the lack of gags to accompany the so-called bondage in said films. And what's wrong with a heroine just showing up bound already? What if I don't like seeing the tying up process? And speaking from a logical story perspective, no self-respecting heroine would idly sit by while someone is tying them up (they should and would physically resist unless they're already subdued/incapacitated in some way), but the level of acting/choreography required to come across as a believable bondage/tying up sequence with a resisting and defiant heroine is beyond most fetish models and producers. That's not even mentioning the exorbitant amount of time it takes to properly do a reasonable bondage tie, and it would eat up the bulk of the running time, which is just unreasonable. As much as I'd like to see a realistic story buildup to seeing the heroine getting tied up instead of just showing up already tied, it's just not possible or logical since it would leave little time for anything else.

Lastly, what you consider "dull" could be applied to ANY other fetish that a person DOESN'T like. Personally, I can't stand an hour of punching, bearhugs, choking, backbreakers, etc. Or porn that masquerades as superheroine films. They are all boring as fuck to me, but I am not against those films, since it's obvious a lot of people love them and they're clearly the most popular and better selling films, judging from the films advertised here and C4S. And aside from GIGA's and Primal's films, most of those films have little (if any) amount of bondage/chloroform in them. So to say that's a common theme with most superheroine films coming out is a stretch.

If you really want to talk about things getting dull, then you should direct that complaint toward any films that keep using clones of Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl, or basically any other copyrighted characters, and also any films that parody, or rather regurgitate the same stories from the old Wonder Woman/Batman TV series. Personally, I think it's repetitive and dull, and completely lacks ANY creativity, but it's a fast and easy way to sell videos since they piggyback on the built-in popularity/familiarity of those characters, and if it delivers what people want (like the chloroform and bondage you're complaining about), then who am I (or you) to argue with them?

Well variety is the spice of life. We all have our likes and dislikes.

Come up with an exciting alternative and suggest it.

When I first saw this topic title I was so tempted to add 'And warm woollen mittens' as that was what immediately sprung to mind.

I do think the chloro take down has become a bit stale - I would rather see multiple attempts that the heroine successfully avoids but maybe makes her progressively weaker until finally she is overwhelmed. It always struck me as a bit lame that she (WW) could bend steel bars but not pull away a guys wrist in the t.v. show .

(incidentally I moved this to the lounge where it belongs - if anyone sees a post amiss in whatever zone of the forum just pm me and I will move it to its proper locale, thanks to my new demi-god status ;) )

Jolly good show, Tallyho!

You know, there was a time when there was hardly any chloroform and bondage coming out and, hoo boy, you should've seen the complaints then!

It's just supply and demand. People demanded it, so now it's here. Then it will get oversaturated and we will move on to something else...

I do agree some are poorly done or don't make sense or just tossed in as an item on a grocery list. I think the scenes need context. Plus I wish people would use something other than a wash rag or paper towel. And you actually have to pour some anesthetic on for it to do something. Would love to see medical cotton gauze like they did in old spy movies for example.

Go back to the Batman Tv series in 1966 where different color sleeping gases were sprayed out from the Penguin's umbrella to Bookworm's book. It's what is cheap and easiest to use with cheap being emphasized to save money for other things like actresses and sets.

I like the good old fight scenes, but they take longer to prepare and have the risk of injuries.

People like it, that is why they buy those videos. I won't spend any money on a video that doesn't have it most of the time. Just preference I guess. It all depends on how the scene is. I have been burned a lot of times on an awful scene.

I agree. There is nothing very super about a heroine (with powers or just fighting skills) who is unable to break away from a person holding a cloth to her face.

You have a valid point, viking, on the idea of a superheroing not being able to break free from someone coming up behind her with a cloth. I know that at times, I've used a 'chloroform mist' but the cloth is the most used way to go. I must say, it's not hard to act as though you've been chloroformed, so if the actress is the clips that you've bought hasn't done well, try someone else! I think I do very well at that sort of thing, it's fun! But I do think I will add 'close calls' to the next chloro video I do :)

Other ideas that aren't often done but can be with a little imagination: being shot with a tranquilizer dart (simulated of course) trapped in an enclosure being filled with gas, standing on or touching something that immobilizes with electricity to name a few. I've seen these done in a variety of older movies and wondered why it's not done as much now?

I've always liked the ko blow from behind to the back of the head with... well anything really, a cosh, steel bar etc, but that is hardly ever done either.

I've used the 'chloroform gas' (fog machine) in a few videos. The only problem with that is that it can take a while for the fog to clear out, especially when we're inside, lol

How about KO's from a fight. Either a blow from the opponent or a lucky shove that strikes the heroines head with the floor or wall making them "punch drunk". Keep in mind I'm not looking for models getting bloody or beaten.

I remember doing blows to the back of the head a few times. I have to admit, I haven't even thought of that as being popular and it's hard to stage at times.
