I just want to clear up what is popularly considered a porn star.

A porn star to me is someone one that performs the actual sexual act on camera, no ifs, ands, or buts. Triple xxx action, all the way, theres no mistaking what's being done.


A significant number of people that do there super heroine stuff, i wouldn't consider a port star. Many are model actresses that dont mind the kink, and the fetish models will often go topless, full nudity, and simulate the sexual act but many dont do the full all the way act on camera.

Many actually make a point not to, so that they can avoid being put in the catagory of 'porn'. Am i wrong on this point or are people just really loose in generalizing the whole fetish and if they get excited over it, it's porn.

Well yes, to my understanding that topic was about actresses that usually perform sexual acts on camera with no ifs or ands (plenty of butts though) and that also played in superheroine fetish clips. Granted, there are such videos containing straight down sex as well, but you may argue that in this case the sexual act carries some form of significance within the fetish.

I think the lines are definitely blurred.

There was a point when most porn stars wouldn't bother with fetish because the porn rates were MUCH higher back in the day. So if I girl was going to spend a good portion of her day shooting content, she might as well get top dollar for it, rather than work for around $100/hr.

But now rates for porn have fallen, there are a lot more girls out there that are working and fetish has become a little more enticing to do the work.

At the SAME time, the fetish world has been expanding to include acts of porn in those films.

So a crossover between the 2 was inevitable and has been happening for quite some time now.

Kinda depends on the definition of porn... what you're talking about is hardcore pornography.

Fetish films with only sim sex can come under a blanket of pornography - and therefore those acting in those films are technically pornstars.

In the referenced thread there was no mention of specifically hardcore porn actresses or hardcore pornstars.

One of the models I worked with refereed to it as skin service or skin job.

What I think is being lost is what is similar to the term "super model"
A super model isn't a model who does a lot of work, they are the upper echelon of models.
similarly A "Porn Star" isn't someone who takes money to have sex on camera, that is an adult actor. A "pornstar" is an adult actor who is highly recognized in the field.
Lisa Anne is a porn star, Someone who just filmed their first adult movie is not.
Stoya is, Kelly Devine isn't


Technically speaking the thread should be called Adult actresses as super heroine because addressing it as "pornstars" would limit the top 10-15 actresses

You may know Lisa Anne from her Nailing Palin movie. she pretty much came out of retirement to play palin. even when she was young her light wasn't very bright. it was after nailen that her career took off. she recently retired again, but is still a large enough name. mostly known for her twitter wars with really dumb young wanna-be pornstars who are a few years away from actual stardom.
