Who do you guys like seeing in SHiP content or would like to see? And as what characters or just in general and why? I'm really curious about this. I'm trying to come up with a killer plan but want as much feedback from you guys as posssible before I start doing some things.

You'll get the same answers here as you will in the lounge more than likely. The difference is some of those models will only do peril-only vids. There are plenty of well known reliable models like Paris Kennedy Emily Addison and Nicole Oring who not only look hot but act their parts (especially the sexual scenes) very well. I wouldn't betroth myself to them though. As long as the model is hot and can act somewhat well than I couldn't careless who the model is. My only pet peeve with models is when they are really pale. I prefer the model to be tan or at least look like she's seen the sun before.

As far as content, it's virtually the same as peril-only except the villain is feeling up the heroine and touching her sexually preferrably ending with a sexual assault. The heroine cannot (at least I prefer she shouldn't) enjoy this in any way since she is innocent and virtuous. Other than that just be creative. Some people like elaborate stories but it's porn not hollywood so the story is just icing on the cake for me. Some story or background is nice but don't rack your brain trying to find an original story arc.

In the nice girl turned naughty by evil villainess category the more of a girl next door or soccer mom milf look the heroine has the hotter it is - and by extension the villainesses having a more villainy look. Also i think different models can look much better as certain characters than others e.g. CC as Wonder Woman but which is which is probably very subjective.

I'm with Ninja J. on this, he appears to share my tastes. I'm mainly in this for the sexual content. Bondage is fun too, especially if it's inventive and ties into the sexual fantasy fulfillment. I don't enjoy snuff, excessive violence, or bloodshed. It's a comic book fantasy--the violence is therefore cartoonish and unrealistic. I recognize, however, that I only speak for myself, as some SHiP fans like that sort of thing. You may want to throw in a mix to keep everyone happy. I'll tell you this much, however: if a video consists of nothing but a long, drawn-out beat-down with no nudity and no sexual fulfillment, I won't bother with it.

Unlike Ninja J., however, I don't mind a pale-skinned actress if she's attractive; most red-heads tend to have pale skin, and who doesn't love redheads? ;) And if Batgirl (my favorite red-headed heroine) is out all night fighting crime, well, she's not going to get a lot of suntanning time.

I am old-fashioned in some regards, however, and so I tend to have a problem with a tattooed model playing an innocent, naive, virtuous heroine. I'm not saying don't use tattooed actresses, just use them appropriately. I can buy a tattooed actress as an experienced, tough-as-nails, world-weary heroine; I can also buy such an actress as a villainess. But as Suzy Sunshine, protector of virtue and apple pie? With a tramp stamp? Something's amiss there. :hmm:

i like to see the heroine in bearhugs. long ones not the short ones that happen alot. one squeeze and there done? make it last longer with more peril shots and angles. even release the heroine and reaply it to her. really infasize on the bearhug. make it the focus of the defeat.

@bphantom64 -- I respect your preference not to show blood or bruising in superheroine peril, even though I have the complete opposite preference from you. However, I would like to point out that comics can and often are very, very violent gorefests. Many comics have depicted characters like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Wolverine, the Wasp, heck, you name it -- severely bruised, battered and bleeding. Heck, I don't have to think much further than The Death of Superman storyline or Knightfall. Even in The Killing Joke we see Batgirl shot through the spine, bleeding on her apartment floor and stripped nude by the Joker. I could provide countless examples of blood and bruises used to great effect in comic books. In fact, its prevalence in actual bonafide comic books is what makes me wish producers would depict blood and bruising more often in superheroine peril.

@HeroineFanboy - As I hope you understood from my post, I respect other fans' preferences even if I don't share them. My own were formed in an earlier time when "comic book violence" was a totally different animal from the real-world kind, and yes, I know I'm dating myself. When I first started seeing bloodshed in comics, in The Killing Joke, in Watchmen, and so on, it was shocking and effective because it was so unusual. Since then I gather it's become more typical, but I stopped being a regular comics buyer sometime in the early 90s.

Part of the challenge, I would guess, for our particular fetish to portray "blood and bruising" is budget. SHiP productions for sale on the Internet are typically pretty low-budget, and throwing in fake blood and realistic bruises and lacerations would just add to the budget (not just materials and resources, but time as well). I myself am usually happier when the limited time & money the producers have is spent on a quality model/actress, a decent set that doesn't look like someone's rec room, and even the occasional special effect.

A very thoughtful response. Thanks. However, I think it's a common misconception that showing blood and bruising is expensive. On the contrary, a producer can buy fake blood extraordinarily cheap. Just put a dab here and there on the actress and it's done.

So while I agree that it can cost money to show detailed gore effects (like one might see in a Hollywood horror movie), it really doesn't have to be expensive at all.

It depends on how realistic you want it to look. A little fake blood is probably not too expensive to purchase and apply, no, but to portray the realistic results of a typical vicious beat-down we usually see in these videos, you'd need a bona fide makeup expert of some sort!

Anyway, like I said, it's not something I'm into. Even the beatdown scenes in a lot of SHiP videos take way too long for me. If the fight is well-choreographed and includes a goodly amount of cheesy cliches and taunts, then that's fun, but I find interminable scenes of the heroine getting punched and kicked while the bad girl/guy utters nothing more than obviously fake laughter to be boring.

I find the psychological element to be every bit as enjoyable, sometimes more so, than the purely physical. The heroine is a paragon of strength and virtue, so seeing her slowly degraded and humiliated while she's helpless is what I find fun. Fight her, defeat her, bind her, taunt her, gradually strip her, peeling away layers of self-respect and confidence along with her clothing, culminating in the ultimate defeat... now that's entertainment!

I guess what I'm trying to convey -- which should perhaps inform the original query of this thread -- is that as a fan of dark superheroine peril, I don't need ultra detailed bruising effects. A simple dab of fake blood under the heroine's nose or by her lip would be enough and make me (and maybe others) a happy camper.
