Just a heads up to UK members, next weekend 31Sat/1 Sun is Cardiff Film and Comicon at the Motorpoint Arena. £10 early bird, £5 after 11am

Line up includes Prowse, Kenny Baker, the Borg Queen herself Alice Krige, Sarah Douglas (Zods bint from Superman 2) Robert Englund, Lance Henriksen, Charles, Barrie and Llewellyn from Red Dwarf, living Legend Brian Blessed (Gordon?ALIVE?!!! ) a whole host of minors and comic artists, some rugby and sports legends (I dont know why either :D ) and , wait for it THE HOFF himself!!!lol
Well everything has to start somewhere so I hope it takes off.
If you are around Bristol, Gloucester , South Wales area next weekend lend your support.

Sucks as I'm over at the Cardiff pad this weekend, but have a shoot next weekend back in Essex :/

Do know a ton of the Welsh cosplayers are gearing up for it though. Should be some pretty awesome costumes about! Will definitely be marking it out for next year, should it work for the powers that be within the comic con organisers.

Can't see it failing really though, the Welsh cosplay scene is sizable - shouldn't be any problem drumming up support.

Well it was brilliant guys, thousands there, hour long queues round the block and the cutest Vulcan you will ever see! Loads of great cosplayers only some of which I was able to stalk sorry snap.
If you can get there tomorrow, do it.

The Vulcan was gorgeous but the Batgirl was just really sweet. When I told her she looked great she said 'So do you' - I pointed out that I hadn't dressed as anything and she said, 'oh, well you still look great' :smile:


I have had to adjust these pic sizes from my phone so if they aren't visible can someone please let me know and I'll try again.

Tonight I'm gonna dream of being a Tribble ;)

looks like it was a great time T.H. ...thanks for sharing the pics....can't imagine the amount of lovely spandex claded bodies you got to view this weekend...must of been very hard on the eyes.... lol

They were still queuing round the block when I left, 5hrs after it opened.
Best cosplayer costume though was a young woman who came as Brian Blessed in his King of the Hawkmen role! With a full length party shop beard, great helmet and wings. Sadly no pic of her. Some pretty Sailor Moons but no Supergirls, and only a few Catwomen.
Had a great time, and yes it was crawling with mot! :D
