Please DON'T go with tights or nylons. I find skin colored tights revolting. They make me think of sausage. Dark nylons or fishnets are ok though, for the villainess. IMHO. Supergirl never wore tights. Nor high heels for that matter.

Thankfully, Rye has already stated his intention, so we can stop arguing over this at least. 8)


Personally, I prefer a flat-sole boot to high heels. In part because I think it fits the character better, but also because I fear it will be much harder for the actress to perform any believable moves if she has to be tripping around in high heels. There are flicks like that out there, and most of them just look silly.

I'm hoping for a action oriended film where the costumes stay on. There is enough porn out there to last us all a lifetime. There is very little good action oriented superheroine peril.

There is going to be tons of action however it's not going to be your typical superheroine fight...

I don't know about you guys but I don't picture Supergirl as a martial artist.... She is a super powered being that is used to throwing people around and easily incapacitating them.
The fight scenes will be EPIC and very much like the old supergirl/superman movies.

What's Nuclear Girl's hair color gonna be?

Well there are many things still up for discussion and that is one of them.

How about green or blue?! or pure red (not normal color red-head). And wild and messy. If natural color preferred, then I don't know, dirty blond maybe, with SG a more pure, lighter blond.

Some of the other items are:

1. What should we call supergirl?
- I can't just make a similar costume and call her supergirl. Her name needs to be different like superiorgirl or superia, etc.
- I can have some villains reference her " A Supergirl" in the movie but we do need to call her something else.

You're welcome to use Supremegirl (or Supreme Girl), the name I coined for Superheroines.com way back when.

2. Which aspects of the 1984 costume are least important and which are most important?
- I will make the costume close to Helen Slaters but it does need to differ in some ways.
- The spiked heal that was suggested is a good start.

Love Helen Slater as supergirl and the costume's great. Except for the boots. Definitely vote for boots redesign!

Other than that, don't know. Maybe different width belt. a different collar. A belt buckle. Lasso of truth! (scratch that). Shorter cape length, like around mid-booty. If you want to change the logo, you could consider Supremegirl's logo (see my site).

3. Does supergirl's alter ego walk around in sexy tight fitting cloths, or does she look conservative?
- My personal preference is to dress her up sexy but that isn't a huge point for me.
- I would like to see her in a brown or black wig though.

Dark wig and glasses ala librarian or Sarah Palin. Tight fitting for sure. Tight fitting office suit with short skirt (above the knees) can look hot on a hot actress. And heels of course.

Nylons? I go either way. But if without, have plenty of makeup to cover bruises in case she gets some doing the fight scenes. One good thing about nylons is they can get torn to shreds during fights.

Anyway, good luck with this parody. Sounds promising.

Since when has Wonder Woman ever been "clearly" depicted as bare legged? Her golden age comics wayyyyyy back when, showed her pulling hose on and off when she dressed in costume. Naturally I am talking about times prior to her spinning in a circle to change, or even taking her lasso and spinning it around her to change....but throughout most of her tenure in comics and television, she's been in hose.

Supergirl on the other hand....Though I'd prefer to see the hose on her, that is just a look I prefer as opposed to bare legged.....Supergirl as far as I remember, is bare legged. Didn't follow her as closely as Wonder Woman, but I think you're correct with her being bare legged. I'd just like to see her in this parody of Rye's in hose and high heeled boots. That's just me though. Clearly there are many opinions regarding how people would like to see her in this movie. But I always view discussions of this type, regarding how I care to see a heroine in peril portrayed, as the fetish that it is....and to me, the fetish in this genre, is seeing the heroine in some super sexy version of her costume....and since I love high heeled boots, that is always one of the things I love to see. If this movie were to pay homage to Supergirl, then sure, I'd be voicing my opinion to keep her as close to the real thing as possible....Wedge/Flat heeled boots, etc....

I have every Wonder Women comic book after her horrible costume change from the 70's and have the chronicles of her golden age days and the majority of the time she is bare legged. Her modern age costume(not Jim Lee's new one) also does not have any tights. I don't know what fantasy world you are living in.

The scenes I'd like to see is a replica of the moon fight from superman 4 or something similar with the same end, supergirl buried in the ground, a fight where the nuclear tag team decimate her, supergirl recovering from a fight feeling helpless and outmatched, and a scene with nuclear girl having her way with supergirl before destroying her (according to what you've posted so far..)

1. When the male villain and Supergirl first meet, have him look her up & down while circling her and reach down and lift Supergirl's skirt with one hand, exposing her panties to the audience. She slaps his hand away of course and she can ask, "Why are you doing this?"


2. During the fight scene, have a quick camera shot of Supergirl getting up with her panties exposed and ass towards the camera. This can be done when Supergirl first gets knocked down by either of the two villains. The camera can next give the audience a close up of Supergirl's face and herlook of shock.

Just look at some ACTUAL photos of women in the 40's era....since it was commonplace for women to wear hose at that time, explain to me why a Superheroine created IN THAT ERA, would somehow be created to not depict what was the "norm" of the times? Which again was hosed women. It would make no sense. GA and SA Wonder Women wore hose....Assumptions quite possibly, but in terms of what was considered part of what women wore in those era's, it would be, to me, considered a safe assumption.

But as was stated previously, time to let this topic die and let it continue on about Rye's project.
