Just saw this heartwarming sci-fi comedy and it was pretty great.
Stars Mahatma Gandhi, Frasier's agent, and SNL's original hottie.
Plus, it's set near Pittsburgh, making it clear that the suburbs of the Steel City are where you want to go if you have a story about grumpy boomers with hearts of gold (first 'Otto' and now 'Jules').
If you liked the 80s, you'll like this mashup of Cocoon and ET. It could have been technically set in the 80s, except for a couple of small Current Year cultural references.
No superheroines, but the alien does have one cool superpower.
Recommended and worthwhile!
Jane Curtin and the Pittsburgh snowglobe.
Great Instagram post about how they created the alien from a stuntwoman. Interesting intergalactic cameltoe.
